Btw heard someone say "Don't have a a Danny La rue" the other day. Anyone old enough to tell me if that is the OG rhyming slang?

His name sounds like a magic spell from Bedknobs and Broomsticks!

As for the rhyming slang, "I don't have a Danny" is the oldest one I know, but the slang precedes the flamboyant one so...

I don't have a Danny what the OG was 😜

Absolutely fucking loads. They are one of the best development clubs in the history of football.

I think maybe koko619 koko619 means leaving their academy and there probably have been a few of those as well but who can be fucked to google that.
Eriksen for us

Kudus is the latest one who's been good

There's quite a few actually.

Still have De Ligt and De Jong out there. Eriksen was recent. Mazroui, El Ghazi...

They will produce more world class players pretty soon as well.

Anyway you cook it the Ajax Academy is the greatest production line in football history save maybe Barcelona, which is basically Ajax anyway.

Yes. And no.

It's only harder cause clubs don't give HG kids the chance...or the same as they do foreign kids. So much more exciting to bring in a young French, Spanish or South American wizard. Which is no surprise when most PL clubs are owned and managed by non-HG people. But that's bollocks.

There's an insane amount of talent here in Britain. And when some clubs like Brighton do give them a shot, well we've seen what they can do. Hum hum, let's look at our own club. Harry Kane? Dele Alli? Kyle Walker? Danny Rose?

And look at the Championship...which imo is a more competitive league than say the Eredivisie, Primeira Liga, Austrian league etc. It's full of HG kids and man they know how to play football.

The issue is with PL clubs' mentality & bias, and the quotas being wrong. But even with the quotas as they are, I want Spurs to get back to the days where we had 4 or 5 Englishmen in the starting 11 week in week out, plus more on the bench. We ain't Woolwich, Chelsea or City...we play English players here. And it friggin annoys me how they do better than us in that area these days. Gotta do better with our academy, which I know is a work in progress. And when needing a senior CB, well fuck Todibo and the likes. Go for a Tomori, Guehi...
We'll need much richer ownership. Look at Brennan Johnson, nearly 45 million for a solid player. Guehi and Tomori would be 70 million plus huge wages. Sess was 30 from the Championship. We ain't City indeed.

I hope they've done proper scouting on Todibo. We need the right mentality at the back, not another hotheat.

We really don’t need be hand wringing about HG in my view. Club trained is the bigger issue.

HG for next season and a Europe tilt
- 2 x GK
- Spence
- Davies
- Phillips
- Sess?
- Skipp
- Madders
- Johnson

Squad makeup for Europe requirements.
- 17 Johnnie foreigners.
- 4 HG
- 4 club trained.

There is no need to buy Gallagher for our quota.

I’ve always been a fan.
