Yes. And no.
It's only harder cause clubs don't give HG kids the chance...or the same as they do foreign kids. So much more exciting to bring in a young French, Spanish or South American wizard. Which is no surprise when most PL clubs are owned and managed by non-HG people. But that's bollocks.
There's an insane amount of talent here in Britain. And when some clubs like Brighton do give them a shot, well we've seen what they can do. Hum hum, let's look at our own club. Harry Kane? Dele Alli? Kyle Walker? Danny Rose?
And look at the Championship...which imo is a more competitive league than say the Eredivisie, Primeira Liga, Austrian league etc. It's full of HG kids and man they know how to play football.
The issue is with PL clubs' mentality & bias, and the quotas being wrong. But even with the quotas as they are, I want Spurs to get back to the days where we had 4 or 5 Englishmen in the starting 11 week in week out, plus more on the bench. We ain't Woolwich, Chelsea or City...we play English players here. And it friggin annoys me how they do better than us in that area these days. Gotta do better with our academy, which I know is a work in progress. And when needing a senior CB, well fuck Todibo and the likes. Go for a Tomori, Guehi...
