It's quite incredible how often "I've temporarily found myself in a position to have a little insight into some particular goings on at Spurs" morphs into "I have a tap giving my consistent, all encompassing, and never ending information about everything at Spurs".
 
I think PEH should be a deadline day sale that way he provides cover for Jan but we get him out the door once our midfield has good cover.

Bentancur, GLC, Sarr, Biss, Skipp should be fine to cover 2 midfield roles. I don't think we need to buy a replacement to let PEH go.

Get to summer and get a quality midfield addition and decide what to do with GLC/Skipp.

Again, I respectfully disagree. Contract still has a year on it in the summer. Much more movement in the summer with more potential buyers and, most importantly, we reduce the risk of having to play Skipp in starting XI or some other inferior outcome. PEH has generally been good this season off the bench.

You need three fit and available for any game (need one on bench). That means two injuries and a suspension and you're under water. Lots of injuries and cards across the prem this season,

Problem is then that until mid-February Spurs will then have Bentancur, Skipp & Lo Celso (+Kulusevski) to cover 3 CMF spots....

More movement in the summer for sure but we are talking 10-15m instead of 20-25.

If that’s the budget difference between an installment on a 40-50m player or a 20-30m player that has a measurable difference to our whole project.

If we are at the end of January and still with injury problems and availability then fair enough but PEH isn’t a starting 11 player in this style of football. He wants to be starting 11 somewhere and probably deserves that. Best case for all parties is that he moves in January

That's not good enough cover, GLC has a had a few good cameo moments, Biss is always getting suspended, Skipp is a jack of all trades and master of none

Probably get Wharton (is he the Blackburn CM?) and Illing-Jnr for not much over break even on Hojbjerg (maybe £10m max). If we can get Juve to agree Hojbjerg for Illing-Jnr and £15m say (Like a reverse Hojbjerg Walker-Peters deal).

Would like us to get the best CM in the HG and potential breakout category (would make Jaynola Jaynola happy!), if they have the ability to give Ange an option this season, similar to Hojbjerg.
