He’s a cunt because he’s wants to decide where he works?

Weird fan mentality init.

Ultimately he’s probably a bit down about the Leeds loan and probably doesn’t fancy being used as a pawn to make a deal for Spurs when let’s face it, the club likely don’t care much about him.

I don’t really blame him for not being instantly willing to drop everything and go to Italy for us, he’s not a supporter.

Sorry pal but that’s a pretty weak excuse.

He doesn’t need an excuse. Players have to agree to loans and often don’t. They’re not cunts if they don’t. He’s gone to Rennes and Leeds since being here so he’s clearly happy to go and play, maybe he just wants to stay in the country for a bit.

The players are still people with individual concerns that go beyond what is good for Spurs.

It’s well documented that he has a shit attitude and a bad influence in the dressing room…

He needs to take his balls in one hand, look in the mirror and decide what he wants to with his life, sharpish

Would be ace to see another body signed this Jan tho'.... Even if they're on a loan-back basis and arrive in the summer.

We don’t have any pressing issues outside CB and a forward.

But the CB was part of the summer plans that we are catching up on and Werner is temporary cover for Son.

It’s a solid window. No more no less. I don’t know what business is out there to be done that could take us up a level but trading PEH for a cm that fits better would definitely give us better strength in depth for injuries or when we need to change a game.

Yep, I am starting to think "this will be it".

No one is willing to pay for neither of PEH (Juve reported "out"; no other realistic rumors to be heard so far) or Lo Celso (both 18 months on the contract) and if neither leaves, there is no real room to bring in a new player. We then have Bentancur, Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison, PEH, Lo Celso and Skippy as our MF options which is actually significant depth if everyone remain fit.

As I said in one previous post- within 2,5 seasons so far we have brought full first XI with exception of Sonny.

That is - Vicario; Porro, Romero, VdV, Udogie; Bentancur, Sarr, Maddison; Kulusevski, Richie, Son.
And on top of that some very good squad options (some starters/subs is up for debate - specially between midfield duo and attacking options) - Forster, Royal, Dragusin, Bissouma, Solomon, Johnson, Werner, Veliz

In total 19 players (!)

Now we have some room to think about future of some players like Skippy, Sessegnon, Lo Celso, PEH and Gil
But more importantly move on some - Tanguy, Dier, Regulion, Spence, Rodon, Tanganga.

In summer we need most likely one more adequate fullback, one quality midfielder and potentially quality striker/#9 + potentially 4th CB (even though I am not fully sure of it - VdV and Romero are brilliant, if Dragusin works out and we have Davies as #4 with youngsters like Philips, Dorrington and Vuskovic coming on...?) .
Keep some from "questionmark" list, keep all 19 mentioned above them and we are absolutely ROCKING.
Great post - fully agree.

@SpursOfficial dropping this like it's nothing. :sneaky:

He might be a total prick but not being willing to drop everything in a second to move to Genoa for half a season so Spurs can push a deal on isn’t part of it. Perfectly understandable choice.

Not sure if this will be it, Hojbjerg has a very good agent who can get moves, wouldn't be surprised if there's some movement with him towards the end of the window and if that's the case then we're going to go for Gallagher as that's Ange's choice for a replacement.

It’s actually a better loan for him than Leeds and could be great for his career profile. At this point he’s gaining a rep in British football. Fresh start in Italy and he could easily have champions league clubs like Milan or Inter on his case.

But if he doesn’t see it that way, he’s not wrong. People just get weird because footballers are paid a lot.

Well have to manage europe and have greater stress on the squad (injuries etc).

What do you think we’d need in the summer?

I think we need either a striker or a forward.
Fullbacks need reinforcing.
Central midfield. Hojbjerg out and one more in.

If we could get Bardhelj and Vemeeren now but let them stay at current clubs then that would be a dream window. But that is fantasy stuff.
Not really unrealistic, the prices being quoted is about 25m Euro for each.
