Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Presumably if you agree terms with one club and spoke to a manager then another club comes in for you and you mull over the decision it's not a good look no matter who it is.

Pretty sure that happened with Raya when Ange spoke to him and it was said that he was trying to get away from Brentford as opposed to wanting to actually play for Spurs.
I'd hang my hat on the fact that he doesn't give one shit what the look is.

Memories are short as are careers. Wages and appearances go hand in hand, so I'm guessing he wants all of the above.

I'm guessing we've been turned over by the Boche both in this deal and the riddance of Dier.

Du dreckiges Schwein

Grealish is totally different, that was a case of us taking too long, because it allowed Villa to be taken over in the meantime.

The other too the length of time negotiating wouldn't have altered anything, Liverpool and Bayern didn't just decide to jump in once they saw us in the news, they would have been watching all along waiting to see whether they fancied the fee or not. Day 1 or day 31 they would have jumped in the moment they knew what the deal was.
Both Diaz and Grealish we took too long.

Diaz's father said we missed out because we 'hesitated':

If the guy wants to be 4th choice in a Farmers league to win a few medals then let him go there, I mean anyone with the rIght attitude would want to play in the best league in the world if not he ain’t for us, there is an argument to say Seri A to the Bundesliga is a step down
Bundesliga is probably the shittest league among the top ones, you barely has competitions and most of the teams sucks completely.

Diaz's father said we missed out because we 'hesitated':

Grealish we *did* fuck up, because Levy was being his usual arrogant bellend self and thought he could steal their prime asset during Villa’s financial turmoil. If we’d behaved more equitably, we might have got him.

Diaz dad is talking bollocks. He was always going to the Dippers.

90% sure Dragusin is dead in the water but you never know, he will get a ton of minutes for us but will prob ride the bench most of the time at Bayern. I'm beginning to fucking hate them cunts more and more every passing day. Let's cross our fingers that the allure of the PL and the beautiful football will swing it for us, otherwise on to the next. Surely a cut price deal for Kelly or Tosin isn't the worst idea in the world for this window?

Diaz's father said we missed out because we 'hesitated':

We didn't miss out on Grealish by being gazumped, that was our own fault. With Diaz Liverpool would have came in whenever we agreed the deal and he would have chosen them over us, unless his father says something to counter that then his claims of hesitation don't mean much.

Or do you disagree that Liverpool would have came in whenever our bid was accepted?

It makes a lot of difference, the deal is done early and other clubs don't get a chance to hijack.
If a player fundamentally wants to go somewhere else and that team is also keen, there’s nothing we can do. Now, Bayern could have fucked up and delayed too long. That’s possible.

But if you’ve agreed a fee and terms with the player, what else can you do?

This one is more like Willian than anything else imo. A true gazumping, not actually Levy’s fault.

Here’s what has become clear to me.

a) The agent knew of Bayern’s interest beforehand and knew to let them know when a deal was agreed.

That’s the only possible explanation, unless you’re willing to believe a serious football club like Bayern Munich heard of Dragusin this week and slaps down €30m to spite us. No, they asked to be kept in the loop on the deal and then made a move at the last minute.

b) the haggling on Genoa and the agent’s side with all the fees was partly us but partly Genoa stalling trying to get big money involved because they knew of Bayern’s interest.

All of it has fallen into place now that we are where we are. I’d love to slag off Levy for this one but I honestly think this was unavoidable, Bayern were always paying attention to this one.
