Fergie and Wenger were like it, nobody on the player front seems too upset when we lose, certainly levy isn't bothered maybe that makes it's way down.

I referenced the 60s and our 1 season we dominated with the domestic double, then said "otherwise"
We were a great side in the 1960s. That being 60 years ago. We were not the dominant force throughout the 60s and never have been. We
sat on Man Utds perch whilst they had an inevitable struggle for a few years following the Munich Air disaster, but by 64 they were back up and flying, winning 2 league titles and a European Cup.
That's the best we have ever had it. It's never been the norm for us to be at the top of Engliah football like other mentioned sides.
I think it will show a strong set of accounts.
Good to see us leaving no stone unturned to rinse every penny out of our foreign fans.

I would only reference the charity shield in jest like the Audi cup.
For some dubious refereeing in the CL semi final against Benfica, we also might have been European champions.
As for not being the norm being at the top, at least you can thank ENIC for retaining that tradition.

Except the time we went down and sat in the 2nd division for 11 years of a 13 year period either side of the war.
Liverpool dominated the 70s and 80s in a way we never have, and that's why they are a far bigger club than us unfortunately.

I would say United though obviously had a tough start to the decade and there was no blatant domination.
But that was our absolute peak.
During the 70s 80s 90s (pre Enic) we had several clubs establish themselves well above us.
It's romantic to think Levy took on a sleeping giant but it wasn't really the case.
He took on an established mid table side with a notable history of the odd decent cup run.
By 2001 the 1960s were already a significant number of footballing cycles ago.
Spurs have never dominated like Liverpool & United did after the 60's when they had their periods of sustained dominance. But until City, no one has really.
Loads of teams have had a go. Everton won a few titles, Villa, Woolwich. Forest, but it was always those 2 really. Liverpool through the 70's and 80's and United through the 90's and 00's
But you shouldn't underestimate where we were when Levy took over.
Only United, Liverpool and Woolwich had won more than us.
And still only those 3, with now City and Chelsea have won more than us.
ENIC took over 2000? I think?
Look at the trophy records between 1985 and 2005. Chalk and cheese isn’t it.

Yes we sit 6th for trophies won with only 2 pots separating us, Villa and Everton. Quite a gap from the teams above us 3, and quite a gap to the teams below.
Maybe its my timing of supporting Spurs from 1990 but I certainly saw us on a level with Villa and Everton where we have pushed on to a much better position under Levy than those clubs have under their respective owners. And these are the clubs I measure our relative success against more than Liverpool, United or Woolwich. Chelsea and City are different for obvious reasons.
Taking up supporting Spurs in 90 I could be told of the past 2 decades winning a few cups having a few players, but it wasn't live it was ever sold to me or I ever believed we were some kind of force in English football other than a very brief period in the 60s.

Woolwich had 11 league titles to our 2 when Enic took over (2001).
Since then they have only won 2 more league titles (shortly after they took over) but 7 FA Cups.
They had a much more decorated history before Enic took over and have improved on that since.
Looking at his face I think its reformed Ryan Sessingnon hamstrings....
