If we are to lose, it's got to be something that really and I mean really fucks them off. Last minute OG or everyone getting injured and only having 6 players on pitch so match gets abandoned. Don't like losing but I want to be able to laugh my bollocks off and take the piss for years to come.
So on point. This game will give us or the scum ammunition for years .
Cunts on the pitch need to know the importance of being able to ruin any gooner for the next few years.

Most seem to be talking as if a EL place has already been achieved whereas that’s far from a given indeed get nothing from the next two games and depending on how Newcastle perform at Utd & Brentford and Chelsea at Brighton and home to Bournemouth could see one of or both of the clubs currently in 6th and 7th position finishing on 63 points and both w probably have a better GD.

Actually we only need a draw with Sheffield United.

If we can't manage that, we don't deserve it.

Which has 0 relevance to this season
It's relevant in that we need to have respect for all our opponents. We can't just assume that 3 points from Sheffield United is a given or that we're going to finish 5th no matter what. If Newcastle claim all 6 points from their last two matches, they will go ahead of us on goal difference if we pick up no further points.

This is why we can't afford to be flippant in either the match against City or the one against the Blades. A point from the City game will secure 5th and take away the need to pick up points at Bramall Lane. I know that sounds a bit odd but we all know our beloved Tottenham are quite capable of beating City and then losing to Sheffield United (we've seen it happen time and time again!) and I would feel a lot more comfortable if we went into both matches with the right application. I don't think going into a match wanting to lose bodes well for a positive result in the following match. Attitude isn't something that can be turned on and off.

I’m not sure I will actually cheer goals going in against us in the stadium on Tuesday (which I hope they do).

I think there will definitely be noticeable cheers from the majority though.

Sky/TNT and the media in general will be out to ridicule Spurs no matter what. If we win they will absolutely lap it up and find a way to call it ‘spursy’ etc.

If we lose they will be crying about how we have small club mentality.

We can’t win either way, so I just want to avoid seeing Woolwich win the league. Seen that way too many times in my lifetime already.

I do enjoy your AI images. But you gotta leave 'tourists' out. What you deemed touristy are fervent fans either travelling halfway around the globe to watch the team or waking up in ungodly hours to catch the games live on TV for years. It doesn't make us any less of a fan for not being a local.

This thing about getting up early to watch football as if it it some sort of real hardship always tickles me.

Laughable.

I don't think 'tourists' usually means overseas genuine fans. It's the ones who are just going to the stadium as something touristic to do in London. A slight variation is the corporate tickets given to sponsors and the like.

It has 0 relevance because it happened last season, two different teams, two different managers, two different circumstances.

We are both speculating and no-one knows the outcome but come on be sensible, there's such thing as statistical probability, there's an extreme likelihood that we finish 5th because all we need is 1 point from 1 match whilst Newcastle need 6 points from 2 matches and they're both away from home.

This is what I don't get about the argument, Tottenham are capable of turning up and beating City and dropping points against sheffield, erm when? We just literally came off 4 losses against teams who are around us and better than us sandwiched in between beating Burnley and Notts Forest - 2 teams threatened by relegation!

I don't expect the players want to lose against City do I have no idea why you're conflating the fans' feelings with the players?

Obviously no-one is assuming that we need to turn up to win but come on man, stop being a scardey cat - that's just Spurs fan mentality summed up.

The ref didn't even give the penalty we got when he was two feet away witnessing Woolwich trying to castrate one of our players....it was only after a long VAR check where they looked at everything to not give the penalty that they gave it as they literally had no other choice.

This wasn't because Arse are getting the rub of the green.
It's because on field refs are weak fucking cowards that leave it to VAR, and then it's 50/50 as to whether VAR can be bothered to look at it and then just use the excuse "it wasn't clean and obvious"

You know they've won 1 out of their last 15 right? They haven't won at home since December -They've been on the beach since March and lost their last 6 matches.

They're stupendously shit I reckon even our U21's would beat them and there's no little recent history that supports the fact that we get turned over by the type of really shit teams, we literally had this against Norwich 2 years ago and we smashed them 5-0 because they're were a pile of shit.

We need to stop doing this as a fanbase, we fear the worst and don't get behind our team even when the stakes are stacked well in our favour, it's mental.
Why are you surprised?

We haven't beaten anyone convincingly since Villa, no matter how shit they've been. And we've scraped past all the relegation fodder this year.

It has all the hallmarks of scratchy shit-fest. And you know if by some miracle there is CL riding on it, we will find a way to shit the bed.
