wont lose. anything less that a 3 goal win wont be good enough.
I was about to agree with your post, but then I thought I'm not as sure as you that we won't lose.
Highly unlikely, but if we did it's the last match of the season and everyone would go to their neutral corners and cool off. Nobody would lose a job over it.
I'd like to think someone above Ange would be having frank conversations with the players to find out whether they've thrown the towel in. If they have, there's no reason to think any new signings won't do the same thing a few months into the new season when we get opened up like a tin of beans every week.
Bottom of the league. 101 goals conceded. If we even struggle to score I would think he's in trouble. But then, we took 112 minutes to break them down earlier this season. Only for them to get beat 0-8 by Newcastle the next game.

Lol at the kiss crew reacting to this post.

After Starks put them to bed yesterday with some basic stats, now they see the internet realizing that their whole schtick about not playing good football since the first 10 games wasn’t really a strong narrative like they thought it was.
It wasn't all good football IN the first 10 games and you put 2 video's up boasting how good we are in a game we lost to nil.
Fuck is wrong with you?
How the fuck has the media narrative become that it is Spurs fans fault that the team have basically won 4/5ths of fuck all in a third of a century?

Ridiculous. Our support given the lack of success is second to none.

Bunch of cunts the lot of them.
Basically saying we're so small minded we'd rather not achieve anything than see a rival do so.
And they're right. Our fans put their own inability to cope with someone saying something to them over and above THFC's progress this week. That's all it is. Fans being so fucking afraid of being teased by someone in a different colour shirt, that they'd rather we lost a game, missed out on the champions league and possible regress as a result.

Take away the first couple of months and the football has largely been dross most of the time. Lots of needless passing in midfield that goes nowhere and at a slow tempo. Not putting that on Ange. I just think Maddison (and others) losing form after injury really stopped us in our tracks, and we've never really recovered since.
I would. He's had all season to beat it out of them and all that seems to have happened is we've got worse at it. And we've got worse at defending too.

Utter bollocks. But thanks for your input.

I was talking about those clips which were titled with needing consistency. Also said myself we need to add execution in the final 3rd. It’s pretty obvious I’m talking about Ange ball build up and team football.

Foundations of the club and way it is run are there to be questioned. 20+ yrs with one minor trophy says it all. Transfer windows where no money was spent at all says it all. Serial winning managers who have won everywhere except Spurs says it all. Selling your best striker in decades and considering Richy an adequate replacement says it all. Dearest tickets in the premiership with not a lot to show for it says it all. Screwing over your long term supporting pensioners days it all. Giving yourself multiple raises despite all the above says it all.
But it's the managers fault every time......says it all.
Very true, except the pensioners part. Should pay the same as the rest (ex kids and youths)

But yes.

The thing is that actually over the past 10 years our average league position is good by historic Spurs standards (early 60s, 70s and 80s were the other good periods). But the lack of trophies is pathetic given how great our resources are (for which Levy does deserve credit).

I wasn’t old enough for the 87 team but I do think the football up until the final third, if not the best is up there. Redknapps team played some good stuff. Poch’s teams were dominant but it was more controlled, powerful football and the play in the final third in those two seasons in particular was really good and incisive. The combination football in the defensive/middle third of the pitch wasn’t as good as we’re seeing at times this year imo.
86-87 was the most exciting Spurs team of my 40 years supporting them.

To an extent but I think he's clearly been as frustrated as anyone at times that the team wasn't doing what he wanted them to. The fact that Maddison went from one of the best players in the country, form wise, to looking bang average, the effect on the team that has had can't be under-stated. Bentancur is another who hasn't rediscovered his previous form yet. These are big, big players for us.

The defending is a big problem. And personally I think Bissouma is a big reason for that. He's just not a top holding midfielder for me. In an attacking side with full-backs that love to bomb forward at every chance your holding midfielder needs to be top notch, and he simply isn't.

Referring to Matt?

Don't give him the time of day mate. He's an odd specimen. Literally hates the club. I've got no time for him, hence he's now on ignore, and I have to say that (when I'm not minded to click 'show ignored content' it's made the forum much more readable/enjoyable.

You also need to put me on ignore instead of just disliking absolutely everything I post. You come across as extremely petty.

I made the mistake of giving the usual suspects an amnesty from the ignore list. Some i am happy to admit i was wrong about but some of the others - BIG mistake! Back on they go.

Nah, you haven't obtained matt levels of trash yet. You're on the amber warning list.

Still time for you to post something that isn't nonsense, and when you do, I'll warm your little heart and give you an agree.

Also, nobody tells me what to do, so shush.

You've got a sense of humour, I'll give you that.

Would be nice to hear your thoughts now and again as to why you might disagree with something though.

Think we’ve played some good football after that at times. West Ham at home, Villa, Newcastle at home, West Ham away up until the box was good and spells in a lot of other games. Final third combination play and 1 v 1 ability is hindering it at the moment but the framework looks good to me

I agree. When it's been good its been excellent. But it really fizzled out, and at times lately it's largely been a chore, especially in the first 45 minutes of games.

Ultimately I think we were all spoilt for a while, at the beginning of the season. Since then it's been a mixed bag. We've seen players get injured, players lose form, and a lot of frustrated glances from Ange on the touchline. I think the end of the season has come at the right time. We can all watch some decent footy at the Euros, watch England bring it home until they don't, and then come back to the more important stuff with Spurs with a refresh. A few astute signings in the summer will have us all believing once again.
