fuck the tours. if they actually lost to sheff united that is proof the place is rotten. will be writing of next season by keeping him for 10 games, thats not worth the price of a tour.

they wont lose so its pointless going into it, sheff united are dog shit. the performance is more key, if it isnt dominant then its worry.

We won’t be losing to that bunch of muppets.

5-1 sign off.

Fucking hell mate have a lie down. I can see your forehead vein protruding through my screen.
I'm not angry. I'm baffled. Just shocked at how many people refuse to see the regression that occurred this season. At best we'll be 6 points better off than last season when we had a coach who gave up, his assistant and Ryan Mason ffs.
And if we lose, 3 points. 5th may look like an improvement, but then consider Newcastle and Chelsea have had entire first teams missing all season. And both of them beat us with their reserves.
if we lose i think he has to go. thats completely unacceptable, it would also make the last 10 games a disgraceful run of form. luckily for him sheff united are one of the worst sides to ever be in the league.
I went back looking for the last coach to lose 4 on the bounce. It was Ossie in 1993/1994 when he lost 7. Since then, he nor anyone else has lost more than 3.
31 years. The Sugar era. Defences with Stuart Nethercott. none of them managed to lose 4.
CL has provided money that has supported transfers like Romero, Van De Ven and Ndombele. Some good, some bad. But better on average than without CL money!
People all look a little too narrowly at it too. CL money isn't spent in the season you qualify. Or at least all of it.
But worst of all, it's not even about signing shiny new toys. It's about keeping your biggest assets happy. Do you think Kane would have stayed as long as he did if we weren't in the CL for 5 out of 7 seasons where he was top of his game? Course not. If we were constantly in the ropey league he'd have picked off by a big club years ago.
It won't take long before the likes of Romero and VdV are looked at by big clubs and they'll want out if we're still struggling through the group stage against some farmer team.
So the narky comments of "well it didn't do us any good in X year"
Actually it did. It kept Kane, it kept prime Lloris, Alderwiereld, Vertonghen, Eriksen, Dele, Son etc happy.
It kept us ahead of Woolwich and often Chelsea.
All this is unravelling and some of our idiot fans were happy about it.

Levy won't sack him before he can milk the cow.
Ge that out of the way and then something happens during the Euros.

Top 4s our everything was our motto for a reason.

But not anymore. It’s not Willy wonka land.
Times they are a changing.

You need to break eggs to make an omelette Matthew.

Time to get the butter out.

yea very strange. theres clearly something off with the vibe too, bentancur smashing up the chair showed its not a happy camp.

poch was kept around too long, we lost 3-0 to i think it might of been sheff united or brighton? that was on the back of a poor run where you could tell it had run its course. i cant remember many instances if any where once it looks like its gone sour and it recovers? but poch should of been gone after that 3-0, he was kept about and all it did was waste time.

the last 10 games have been a shocking run of results! its not even just the results, the performances have lacked intensity, for a team thats barely played this season they should be chomping at the bit every game!

your comments are ridiculous mate. You literally just say things just to say it (or you're only recently just become a Spurs fan).

Firstly you yourself stated you only started to understand (this was fucking yesterday ffs) why some Spurs fans would have wanted us to lose against City..it beggars belief.

Now you're saying this is the best brand of football you've seen in 40 years. Redknapps 09/10 season when had Chelsea, Woolwich and City in the run in and we beat all of them totally controlling games and cutting through teams, Redknapp 11/12(first half) when we played like title contender, Poch 16/17, Poch 17/18 all much better than what we've seen with Ange by a considerable distance (I'd even say Jol 05/06 was better).

you see an intricit passage of play and get excited completely ignoring we see that few and far between.
40 years also includes 84/5 when we should have arguably won the league. Hoddle in his pomp. Played some amazing football.

86/7 was probably our most free flowing side since the early 60s. We were phenominal to watch.

As you say most of the Redknapp and Poch years were better. Jols first full season. Bits of the Venables teams. I'd even say the Klinsmann season in 94/5 after we sacked Ardiles was better football and probably even that 3 month spell under Conte.

I'm all for seeing if things improve start of next season but the utter denial and blind faith is starting to resemble all those Mourinho fans that rocked up here when we appointed him. We might improve ...he might be gone by November. Jury is out imo.

If going from 8th to 5th, being 6 points better off than last season, despite losing a 30-goal-a-season striker—the best we've ever had—and trying to implement an entirely new philosophy and starting XI, is somehow considered regression? Then we might as well pack it in now.

Tuchel has just walked from Bayern, maybe we give big name former Chav managers a go?

Current squad is 25 points off, so no.

Another incremental summer of business and maybe we catch up 10 points realistically with a miracle season having us still in the hunt as long as Liverpool were.

If we sign a game changer or 2 in the forward line and midfield, I can see us in a title race. The odds of signing game changers under Levy structures are pretty low though

I'd say Ange has done better than expected being 5th at this stage with Sheffield left to play.

We had a game changer in Kane and he's gone now, I don't see us getting another one for say £50m.

It's not just Kane's goals that we miss but his attacking play in general. We're going to have to wait until we unearth another Kane/Bale/Berbatov/Modric etc. because Levy won't buy that quality at full price.

We do need a game changer but even Ange has said that if he had £100m to spend on a player he'd rather spend it on two £50m players.

Apart from the defence and Son (on the left) our team is ordinary.

Ange is talking about challenging for the title with ordinary players, sure Leicester did it but it's very rare.

I agree the chances of getting that level of player in the price range and wage bracket we shop are very slim. I think we have proven that over the years.

I took Ange’s comments as him saying he can find 2 for the price of one because the difference in level is thin. I guess VDV backs up his claim but it’s still a bold claim

He's also said there's a long way to go, it's a process etc (with getting the players to adapt to his system).
the frontline was the weakest area at the start of the season, we all knew this. he got johnson and werner in.... that was his answer to improving that front line. so yet again we are about to go into another window with the frontline being paramount in upgrading, whos he going to get in now? i dont trust his judgement after his previous. hes not even got forwards that fit his system let alone forwards of good enough quality.
