You just said the player coming in needs to be Sons successor but even though you don’t think that’s Werner, you’d trust the pros of they do think he is?

Where has anyone (me? that shit twitter account?) said that Werner is seen as a Son's successor?

I said I don't like the idea of fans dictating trf policy. I don't and wouldn't want to see that take hold... It's a slippery slope.

I also said I'm not that keen to sign Werner.

That wasn't the question.

You've been chatting up CHO for weeks now...... Hense the question.

Here’s my take and always has been:

We need a LW that can push Son, a starting CF, starting RW.

It could be they fill those roles different to the way I listed them but we need 2 players that cover wide spots and a CF.

If CHO is one of those players and that leaves us with more resources to focus on 9 and another frontline wide forward, I think he’s a much better option than Werner.

That’s all I’ve said. You said the LW we sign needs to be Sons successor.

Not saying that but 99.9% of the time they don’t. Do you think clubs trust these guys?
I don’t find any of the stuff these guys put out interesting until it becomes a real thing and as I said they’ll get about 1 in 50 right but so could you and I.
I dont think the majority comes from clubs, it comes from agents as its in their interest. But i do think a few have decent sources within the club, just not at boardroom level.

A lot of journos are lazy bullshit merchants, a few are good at their job. The vast majority of randoms on twitter are attention seekers, a couple arent imo. But again upto everyone to believe what they want or just ignore all of it.

It's been confirmed that Romano gets paid by agents to push stories regarding their clients in hope of starting bidding wars.

He's probably not the only journalist that does it either.
