Fully agree but there were direct quotes from Williams himself during the Euros saying he wants to stay at Bilbao. Atm he’s just a name being tossed around.

Kubo would also move the needle for me and we’ve been linked. He’s even more of a wizard with the ball than Williams
Haven't really seen much of Kubo, so I can't comment. I've stated Williams, but I really just use him as the type of player that would go some way to transforming our front line. It doesn't have to be Williams, so long as whoever we get is of that ilk.

What's the Euros being shit got to do with anything? I've really enjoyed it. And I could careless about England. We were not losing games back end of last season because Ange is Australian ( odd but it's you hiding behind nationality ) we were losing games because he kept picking woefully out of form players. It's why I want someone with some top level coaching experience in to help him. Not some Aussies ' getting a leg up' Ffs
Jobs for the boys!!!

Squad game mate.

We've been crying out for quality off the bench so our levels don't drop when we make changes. We've wanted it so that key players have competition for their places. Their form or effort drops, they get dropped and left out if their replacement performs better.

We don't have to shoehorn every new buy into the first team, no matter what they cost, nor pass them up just because we have a good player in that position already.

Eze makes sense, because he'll push Maddison and vice versa. He also enables us to change tactics during a game, if we want some extra creativity on the pitch.

We're building a squad to challenge, not a first 11.
Not going to spend 70 million on Eze and tell him he's on the bench fighting Maddison for a spot.
1. He wouldn't come.
2. Doesn't improve the team, just improves the squad on the bench.
If spending big money on players you need to improve the starting team. Which in turn improves squad on bench.
Example: Buy a fantastic DM , this improves the starting team and pushes Bissouma to the bench which improves the bench and overall squad. If you do that a few times each window you build a better starting team and better overall squad. If we bought Calafiori as our LB he would push Udogie to the bench improving the starting team and the bench.
That's why Ange says it takes a few windows.

Gold actually means Spurs will formally announce the new Year 1 Scholars 'shortly ' (as happens every season close to start of pre-season when they formally start at Spurs ) - a provisional list of these youngsters are on Page 1 of the Youth 2024/25 thread.

George Feeney from Glentoran was first rumoured last October and thought from various youth sources (then confirmed by various Norther Ireland sources) to have signed about 3 or 4 months ago.
