Where has that come from?

Williams is on £170k/week at Bilbao, and where are Barca getting £48M upfront and a £300k/week wage from? They haven't got a pot to piss in at the moment, and have to sell in order to buy and register.

We could offer him 4 years in the biggest league on Earth, playing a major role in a young team that intends to challenge for the title, and could pay him 50% more than he's currently earning.

He might want Barca, but he won't get them right now. He might be happy to stay at Bilbao, but we'll see just how serious he is if we offer him around £250k/week. He's only 21, it's not like he'll be past his prime if/when Barca sort their finances out and can afford him.
We’ve been ‘linked’ with Williams.

So have Liverpool, Chelsea ( who supposedly offered him treble his salary) and Woolwich in the last three days alone .

Probably only a matter of time before the Manchester clubs are too.

He wants to go to Barca and he’s their number one target this summer. They have an improved Nike deal pending and some fresh investment money. If they can get some out in the next couple of weeks and amortize this deal over six years then they think they can get a deal done and be able to register the player.

I'm glad you asked because I see a lot of posters I respect really excited, and then I look at the footage. Something doesn't add up. It's like Nusa all over again. Maybe it's me. I see tidy, I do not see worldbreaker
Overhype-world.

Ange needs to retract that title bluster.

Clearly, we're entering another 5 year youth project phase.

That's, clearly, the plan.

"oh, come on guys, they're young, they need time etc.etc."

The con goes on.

And people spread their cheeks for it and love it.

They can't get enough of Bald cunt bashing away for all he's worth with his gherkin micro-cock

Long term yes but clearly if Ange and the club wanted him it was for a reason. Gallagher is box to box pressing machine, Gray is a DM who can play right back. If not Gallagher then I expect the club to still be looking for another press machine unless they think Bergvall can step into that role. Ideally we play a high press so that role is very important. Think Henderson who was key for Liverpool.

Though very unlikely Gallagher would be an excellent addition.

As you say and injury free box to box player, and quick mover of the ball.

Chelsea would be mad to sell him to anyone, let alone us.

Both Manchester teams are trying to catch Mikey Moore apparently (not surprisingly)

That's the sort of reason that Ange progressed him into the first team at the end of last season. Until he signs a proper adult contract it's all up in the air.

Doue is the profile they seem to want. Profile seems to be the most talented teenagers in Europe that aren't already at a mega club.

Part of me think Daniel Levy would have always been up for this kind of policy but never had a manager that would indulge it to this extent by signing off on so many youngsters...

Will it work? Fuck knows

Do we need more established players? Almost certainly yes

Will we enjoy watching them not give a fuck whilst they dribble round anyone and everyone? fuck yes

Kulu, Bentancur, Maddison, Bissouma, Porro, Davies, Romero, Son, Richy, are all experienced players and likely would be selected for starting a game.

Asking if we want more experienced players is all fine and well, but outside of a few, Gallagher as a prime example who would Ange be interested in who would come in an run their bollocks off for a hundred minutes week in week out?

Hanson once said you won't win anything with kids, something that is so outdated in todays game. Some clubs balk at buying a twenty eight year old nowadays.

I am hoping we look to the likes of Whiteman, Austin, Phillips, Gray, Sarr, Bergvall, Scarlett and Veliz as the future and not be afraid to introduce these next season over looking all the time for established talent.

This us why I think Levy isn't worried about pumping forty odd million on an eighteen year old. He will know that Ange will play him.
