If it’s a release clause that still needs to be paid in a lump sum?

If it does that’s still a massive dent in the rest of the things we can do this summer.

If you sign a 50m player on a 5 year deal, you can pay it over 5 years (roughly). So only 10m out of the budget this summer.

You pay the release clause on the 50m player in one go that’s like committing to 5x 50m players. It’s the kind of thing you do when your squad needs one final piece to tip you over the edge to win things.

We need the 5 players more than we need 1. IMO that is. I’m not expert*

* stupid fucking caveat you have to put on every opinion now because some dickheads want to police opinions on here
We can borrow money and use it to pay in a lump sum, may be cost us 5-10% for the privilege, cash flow isn't a problem. For FFP its still spread over the 5 years.

Probably could. I have no idea. Most likely there would be interest on that loan which would make the loan and transfer even more expensive.

Honestly have no idea but that release clause is the sticking point one way or another most likely.

Eze without the release clause would probably ask for 80m +. The release clause makes it affordable even if we need to pay a lump sum.

The fact he is in the euros is most likely the sticking point.

Right but point stands about payment terms spread over the length of his contract.

Without taking a loan to cover the lump, we can choose

x1 60m player lump sum
or first installments on
x5 50m players

*If they choose to do Eze that's fine with me but probably kills the rest of the window budget this summer. unless they take a loan like you said.

*no I'm not claiming to be an expert in the financials of a football transfer for any of the forum police that want to hold it against me later for having a guess and chatting some shit.

I'd have given you a laughing reaction for this but I'm banned because ironically it was The Absolute GOAT The Absolute GOAT who snitched to admin about me disagreeing with his posts.

The irony levels.

Ha ha ha...ha. ha ha :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:. That's hilarious

He's the biggest serial X bandit in the history of The Fighting Cock!

"Ooh, please sir. Richard keeps disagreeing with my posts"
