Scarlett should have been given the whole second half.
Been done a bit dirty here.
Looked up for it, nice movement

he is what he is. hes been brought in to play a style of football that hes not capable of. hes a counter attacking forward that needs space in behind to get any benefit from him. hes not going to be weighting passes and unlocking defences with football intelligence. Many of them have never played a game of senior football too. I'm all for improving on Johnson, but it's highly likely that'd have to be through the transfer market, at least this season.
I imagine they rotated a fair bit in the second half but being ripped apart by what was essentially a youth team won't exactly fill them with confidence.Nice performance 5-1 against a side that's ready for their league to start
If nothing else, this performance will help some of those kids find good loans.Even if that was just reward for the kids for having such great season last season, you've got to think a fair few of them will have impressed even more after that.
Few of them will be in and around the squad next season, probably starting in the EL too.
45 minutes on Saturday I expect.Scarlett should have been given the whole second half.

I’m not sure I agree - he’s not silky but he does some stuff well in the box, finding a bit of space and a first time passhe is what he is. hes been brought in to play a style of football that hes not capable of. hes a counter attacking forward that needs space in behind to get any benefit from him. hes not going to be weighting passes and unlocking defences with football intelligence.
Lankshear > Veliz > Scarlett
It's a no brainer. Especially when you've got home grown places to consider.
Lankshear will likely go on loan. Dunno if we'll keep Scarlett around, but so far there aren't any noises around him.We might have too many strikers if we only play 1 in our system. Richarlison, Lankshear, Veliz, Scarlett. Think at least 1 will have to go.
We could do a lot worse than him as a squad player for midfield cover. Very tidy ball player and has energy and aggression to go with it. Impressive.Devine seems to be going under the radar on here. He's had a brilliant half
