I would pay 12M to get rid of him for the upcoming seasonThe alternative way to look at the Hojbjerg fee is to ask would we pay that much to keep him for a year and then leave on a free as he would not sign an extension?
Who's next after PEH goes?
Wouldn’t be aghast at keeping Solomon and Davies if the other dreggs are binned off but ideally they would all be bundled into the transit van and dumped. I don’t care whether we sign replacements or not this window, use yoots through until Jan as back upsSo who is now left?
- Bryan Gil - 40k wages
- Regulion - 53k wages
- Solomon - 60k wages
- Davies (need a replacement for a
Good servant of the club) - £80k wages
- Royal £41k wages
- Lo Celso £70k wages
You’d at least hope 4 will be gone by start of season. Its over £300k per week of wages so decent chunk.
We usually have one in one out. I guess Archie Gray is the Hojberg replacement.
I think we better off strengthening other areas. Biss, Sarr, Ben Ten, Gray, Bergvall and Skipp is plenty
To leave? Royal ideally as there’s always a chance he comes into the side at some point otherwise. I don’t think any of the others will get much of a chance regardless of injury crisis
Agreed, good player for Denmark. Always felt he was more suited to the #8 role they use him in; can play forward, get stuck in, contribute to the attack, doesn't have to receive with his back to goal.midfield player who looks infinitely better playing for Denmark in a slightly more forward role than he's played at Spurs
Think that's partly due to his HG status and age, but Transfermarkt values him at £20m and Hoj £18m, so I doubt the difference would be massive. But to put the fee into context, if we were wanting to buy KWP back I suspect we'd need to pay a lot more than we are selling PEH for
Gil?
Probably not, still need a wide forward and another midfielder. Not sure when they fly out but I think we will get a couple in this week.
Can't see three more TBH.
Yep not sure there are many more excuses left to not go big this summer.Since January we've got rid of Lloris, Perisic, Dier and Hojbjerg off the wage bill. Likely 4 of our top 6 or 7 earners (i'd imagine Son and Maddison are on similar). Plus Sessegnon with the others you list to go as well. We've banked £30m from sales so far with more to come There has to be the scope to go and bring in 2 or preferably 3 real difference makers.
It's really quite bizarre looking at what we're paying Timo and then the drop off to those below him.
Assuming PEH leaves our wage bill is approx £2.5m per week.
Could be a long wait for, the club to go big.Yep not sure there are many more excuses left to not go big this summer.
Turns out it was £17m all in and I was right. And resident forum incelGOAT who follows me around X-ing all my posts was wrong. Shocker.
I’m pretty sure he gets it written into his contract
Just thought another poster may have heard more about it. If not then meh, no harm done.
If this is the case, it's concerning.
All over Spurs Twitter people are moaning saying the fee is too low.
