KWP was around 13.3m Euros
PEH was 16.6m

So it was more like KWP plus 3m Euros we paid Southampton for PEH.

In any case it looks like the Marseille fee for PEH is around £17m so we're making a small profit on him.

fair point.

I would have hoped for a bigger fee for an experienced midfield player who looks infinitely better playing for Denmark in a slightly more forward role than he's played at Spurs, but given the 'we've got no money' cry last summer from almost all european clubs, its now a case that he can sign a pre-contract in January, so the deal in isolation is not bad at all.

But to put the fee into context, if we were wanting to buy KWP back I suspect we'd need to pay a lot more than we are selling PEH for - but hopefully Spence resurgence means that's no longer necessary.

So who is now left?

- Bryan Gil - 40k wages
- Regulion - 53k wages
- Solomon - 60k wages
- Davies (need a replacement for a
Good servant of the club) - £80k wages
- Royal £41k wages
- Lo Celso £70k wages

You’d at least hope 4 will be gone by start of season. Its over £300k per week of wages so decent chunk.
Wouldn’t be aghast at keeping Solomon and Davies if the other dreggs are binned off but ideally they would all be bundled into the transit van and dumped. I don’t care whether we sign replacements or not this window, use yoots through until Jan as back ups

We usually have one in one out. I guess Archie Gray is the Hojberg replacement.

I think we better off strengthening other areas. Biss, Sarr, Ben Ten, Gray, Bergvall and Skipp is plenty

Not this year - last year both Udogie and Sarr counted as u21's not needing registration in the main squad, whereas this year both need registration.

So to keep within squad number limites we need to sell at least 2 more than we get in.

Agreed, good player for Denmark. Always felt he was more suited to the #8 role they use him in; can play forward, get stuck in, contribute to the attack, doesn't have to receive with his back to goal.

Think that's partly due to his HG status and age, but Transfermarkt values him at £20m and Hoj £18m, so I doubt the difference would be massive.

I’m gonna assume no news today and go watch the all Ireland hurling final.

KO at half 3 on bbc If anyone’s interested. It’s eh.. a strange but frenetic sport

Since January we've got rid of Lloris, Perisic, Dier and Hojbjerg off the wage bill. Likely 4 of our top 6 or 7 earners (i'd imagine Son and Maddison are on similar). Plus Sessegnon with the others you list to go as well. We've banked £30m from sales so far with more to come There has to be the scope to go and bring in 2 or preferably 3 real difference makers.
Yep not sure there are many more excuses left to not go big this summer.

Turns out it was £17m all in and I was right. And resident forum incel GOAT GOAT who follows me around X-ing all my posts was wrong. Shocker.

Actually it’s up to £17m, depending on certain factors.

And my point was (and the point of many others) was that there wasn’t anything wrong with the fee.

Which there isn’t.

So no, you weren’t right. No need to lie, Pinocchio.

In fact I don’t think I’ve seen you post anything even remotely correct. Keep trying though hunny.

As for your forum incel comment. Grow up. Foul voted.

Tell you what, I’ll pop you on ignore, save me the hassle of seeing your nonsense posts and will stop you melting because others disagree with you.

Byeeeeeee felicia

For me, the minimum we should be accepting is the following match day squad.

Son - Toney - Eze*
Maddison
Gray - Bissouma**
Udogie - VDV - Romero - Porro
Vicario

Bench
Austin
Dragusin
Davies (preferably a new left footed defender)
Spence (genuinely happy for him to replace Royal)
Bergvall/Bentancur
Sarr
Johnson
Kulusevski
Richarlison (or Lankshear if Richy goes)

* mainly left wing but assuming Son would get priority
** if Biss is in form and playing like the start of last season.

Seems more than reasonable to expect the club to sign Eze/Toney from a financial perspective. Better player than Toney would be ideal.

Would obviously like us to be stronger than that but come on, this is Levy we’re talking about.

All over Spurs Twitter people are moaning saying the fee is too low.

You can't make this shit up honestly.

Few folks on here were admant Levy wouldn't even sell him this summer..... am sure they will just move onto the next thing to complain about and forget how wrong they were again about something to do with spurs in the transfer market.
