I know we have bought a couple of promising kids and many fans on here are raving about some of the academy guys but at the present time the squad is not significantly stronger than last season. With the players in Japan anyone bought now will not get a proper pre season and I doubt Ange would risk them in the first match. That will leave them playing catch up. I am personally disappointed at the season's prospects and find it difficult to see an improvement on last season unless good players come in soon. The lack of a central striker that will make a significant improvement on the existing players being the key problem.
 
Apparently we put on a nice spread for eze's camp last season. If im being honest i think weve got him but getting others off the wage bill first. Think our targets will then arrive like london buses...two or three at same time.

Toney also spent a large amount of 23/24 unavailable (great professional he is!) and basically whored himself out to them lot down the road who rejected him.

Toney also got penalties which skewed his record and Mbuemo (one of the most underrated players in the league) would be our best winger - which is why Brentford were staying up regardless of Toney being there or not.

Plus he’s just a knobhead. Don’t want him here.

All I'm saying is it's very difficult to compare them like for like as they've not played in the same situation.

This is what Ange is talking about, especially (and here I’m going to cop flack from you all) his comments re the City game near the end of last season. Ange is trying to I still a winning culture at the club. It’s also the thing Mourinho moaned about
