Season 2 Smh GIF by The Lonely Island

Solanke isn't a Spurs signing.
There's no opportunity attached to it. Long contract, club not desperate for cash, player not itching for a move.
Levy would have to pay up or move on.

Or, as is more likely, waste the next 3 weeks pretending to "try really hard" and then shrug his shoulders when we're left empty handed.

If you’re gonna spend 60m on Solanke, just spend 20m more on Alvarez instead.

I'm not sure we would spend that much on Solanke. He would also probably be on less than 100k a week, whereas Alvarez would surely command to be one of our top earners on 200k a week.

I think any fee for Solanke would be in the region of 30-40m; which would represent a nice profit for them. If he wants the move, it would be hard for them turn it down at that money.

Just buy Eze and Neto and we use son, richy, lankshea (europe run outs) this season as CF options.

Then buy a quality 6 and CF next summer and tune up rest of the squad to complete the core rebuild.

Don't waste that sort of money on solanke ffs.

It's criminal.

Brennan (50M) Solanke (60M)... nah, I'm not fucking having it.

Levy must be having kittens having to part with that sort of cash for that level of player and honestly I can’t blame him. The price for an average PL home grown attacker is crazy. How is it sustainable? Teams should just refuse to pay it and look abroad.

We don't have CL, but we have the London, training facilities and stadium pull. If they wanted to get it done, I'd be surprised if he rejected it.

Never going to happen though as that'd show a bit of ambition, which isn't allowed here apparently.

Solanke would be the most dissapointing and worst transfers that I can remember. One decent season in 10 and anything north of £40m is insane.
Exactly... Not having Champions League football is never a barrier for the other top 6 clubs signing players, but is always used as an excuse for us.

Small time, loser mentality rearing it's ugly head once more I'm afraid.
