What mad money have Newcastle spent? 2 unknown GK's, Lloyd Kelly and John Ruddy are their incomings so far.

Chelsea are buying every kid they can lay their hands on, but nothing for their first team?

They brought in a player they had on loan last season in Lewis Hall
Nottm Forests third choice goalkeeper
John Ruddy
Lloyd Kelly., who most on here criticised the club for being interested in last season.
And two teenagers.

Seriously, if we had that window, we'd have been fucking crucified 😂😂😂

I swear people just say any random shit.

Your logic is to read only part of post (cause what, brain capacity runs out?). Cool.
Also you totally write off fact that he is a player having completed one good EPL season before turning 27. Cool.

I said in last part - I've never seen a single stand-out attribute of Solanke that would have impressed me whenever I've seen him play. And that's why I am not fan of potentially signing him.

Sure, I agree he is most likely better than Richie. And between signing no CF and signing Solanke I'd prefer latter. But I've just never been impressed by his ability.
Solanke has always been a very good footballer. Has had questionable scoring output in his early days for sure

But he is definitely overlooked because he was a young prodigy at Chelsea that didn't break out sooner.

Previous world class managers have never questioned his ability.

The Reds offloaded Solanke to Bournemouth in the summer of 2019 for a fee believed to be in the region of £19m plus add-ons.

Additionally, the sale included a sell-on clause that would see Liverpool net 20% of any fee the Cherries received from a future sale.

If we do buy him then instead of paying his release clause I Expect to see a huge loan fee for one Season for something stupid like £45 million and then an obligation to buy for something like £10 million meaning Pool only get £2 million and the cherries get to keep more of his fee!

I imagine we'd probably start van de Ven LB and Dragusin CB in the Prem in the event of an Udogie injury.

Udogie gets rested for Europe for Donley though, to also give one of the centre backs a rest.

Or we could just buy a left sided centre back capable of playing LB if one becomes available.
Which means another season of no real alternative to Udogie.

We should have signed a similar profile and gone with Porro/Spence, Udogie/X rather than messing about playing people out of position.

Was not panicking in any way... until now, into August!
Fair play on the clear out we are doing - lots of dead end players on way out, love the young additions of Gray and Berg but come on lads - we need TWO starting 11 players as well.
Wouldn't be bothered either way on Solanke, hes been brilliant a few times I have watched him - tons of energy and strong as an ox, scores every type of goal too - definite upgrade on Richarlison. On the other hand one good season in 6 years and didn't make it at two massive clubs already. tricky one to call.
