Who said he needs to play that many games? He could still get 20 odd games and we would have a good idea if he needs to go on loan.

I don't think he's the greatest striker by any means. But out of the ones that are getable I think he be a very good signing.

regardless of all that bollox. hes a young footballer thats cleaning up on the major trophies (ones that are actually respectable) why go to a dead league and halt the legacy hes building. you dont move out of the big 3 leagues if youre him. hes on course to having the greatest collection of trophies going. a load of french titles means fuck all, holds no prestige.

so a non footballer who can occasionally do that is worth 50m?

when your philosophy is to dominate the ball you need actual footballers to do that. johnson was ideal for conte not postecoglou, where if he doesnt get a G/A hes useless for 89:55 seconds of the game.

is brennan johnson more suited to counter attacking football or possession? answer me that.

Not Solanke true but Eze and Neto would be great but a striker is a must.

Good footballers can do both, we played possession football last season and he did well, if he had his finishing boots on we'd be talking about him in the same breath as Gordon and Palmer.

yea course good footballers can do both. thats not johnson is it! ive seen enough of him in situations where football is required and he fails. just not a natural footballer, hes a runner. hell do a job for midtable sides, but playing for a big side who majority of the time play against sides pinned in you can forget it. man down.

ive not seen a great deal of gordon, but from what ive seen of palmer he shits all over johnson no matter how many G/A they get. johnson could have a better G/A stat but hell never be the better player as palmer can actually play the game!
