How Dry should our Powder be?

For me the fact that Solanke wasn’t at the Euros makes this an indefensible hold up. What the fuck are we doing, starting negotiations in August for him?

Either a) we had another target which we were chasing which has now fallen thru, making Solanke a last ditch second option, or b) we fucked about for 2 months on our top target when we could’ve done all the groundwork for this deal in June.

Neither fill me with confidence.

Depends who you believe. But apparently we started talks two months ago.

What the hold up was, no idea.

I genuinely have no idea what this is about.
It could be a really funny joke that I missed, or you failed to land, or it could be a vicious dig.
I have NFI

I’m probably one of the most patient fans going. Often mistaken for a ‘happy clapper’, but like to think I’m just a realist.

But this window is is almost already unforgivable. Almost at the point now where it doesn’t matter what happens between now and the end of the month.

The league is 38 games long. Why give up 4 or 5 of those to potentially reduce a fee? It never makes any sense to me. Pretty much making a signing for a season where you’ve already given up the ground. So bizarre.

Maybe being overly dramatic, but I can’t see the point now, unless we put all our eggs in Europa and FA Cup - which we won’t. We never do.

Arrrrrrgh.
I am with you mate but have to keep reminding myself there’s still over 3 weeks of the window left so it’s not panic stations yet.

Despite the meltdowns on here, I can’t see us ending the window without 2 new additions in the front line.

All the reliable journos are saying the same thing really. We plan to be active with front line additions the priority.

Reading this place every day will drive you mad, it’s not good for the head !

Brentford forced our hand. That’s a new one. Already revising history that happened a month again.

The same way we managed to for Liverpool's hand when we went for Diaz but this was described as haggling for days for him where as Liverpool wrapped the deal up quick with no hassle, now the narrative has completely spun around.

Different rules though

We're literally going to start our Premier League campaign with Kulusevski as our CF.

New levels of negligence from ENIC.

You're right, there's three weeks of the window left, yet the new season starts in just over a week.

Players should be in place by now.

Gut wrenching, isn’t it?

I supported the new stadium because I really thought the rationale they provided of being able to compete made complete sense.

Now we’ve sold Kane for £100m and less than 12 months later are still yet to find a replacement and at the same time pedalling the ‘we need to sell to buy’ line.

It’s so sad.

So close, but so far.

if they don't get a striker then doubt we'll even make top 6

We'll have 2 league games before the window shuts, and one the day after. Basically 3 games by the time the window is closed and the dust settles.

Leaving our key business this late is criminally negligent.
That’s not too bad to be fair, in prior years I’m sure there’s been five games prior to the bald cunt removing his hands from ass and picking up the phone
