Agree - think Richy will still have a role to play either as impact sub or from wide

Skipp slightly on the low side but probably due to not being part of the first 11 much.

£60m is pretty normal for an attacker who is the best player at their club. That is just the going market rate be it Solanke, Eze, Neto whoever. Only when the contract is close to done like Bissouma or Maddison do you get cheaper deals.

Spence will be the first rotation RB IMO. Also wondering if Phillips might stick around and get Davies rotation minutes at CB. I get that Gray struggled vs Bayern but I'm still willing to bet he's breathing down Bissouma's neck for that #6 role by the end of the season.

It's really one to watch the point you make about the youngsters and the 3rd rotation role for a few positions. Is there really minutes for Lankshear as our 3rd CF? Evidence on last season is probably yes but if it's City away where Ange needs Lankshear as our 3rd CF for any reason, is he really giving him the start? or shifting Kuklusevksi/Son in there? If the answer is no, then Lankshear needs to go on loan.

Bergwijn wasn't so much a winger though, he was an inside forward like Son/Johnson type. Bakayoko is a pure touchline winger, his numbers wouldn't be comparable to Bergwijn.


Either way, whoever they have lined up meant they didn't need to be desperate enough to go north of 60m for Neto. So they must have an option they like.

Is a great question.

I guess Spence for now but with the games we have to play, he can't be the rotation FB on both sides. We need a rotation for Udogie this window 100%.

I'm not. I pointed out that we have 6 too many for a match day squad, and anticipate us buying at least 1 more, so I expect us to sell 3 or 4 more senior players.

Can play left/right wing and AM. All round skill set and at an age where he can be moulded hence why all the big clubs in Europe want him.

I can see Gray as an option for 4th choice CB this year (emergencies) after his perfromances in the first few pre-season games.

Prolific attacking midfield - 15 goal a season man - maybe it could be mikey moore???
Central midfield conductor - maybe that is bergval
Left back deputy - similar skillset to Udogie
Solid 4th choice CB that can play high line football

I think he does improve them - more importantly, we need him and wanted him but messed about over 5M or so

Maybe when fit - neto tends to be fit for 10 games a season. Not worth 25 million.
