I know it’s only pre season but this is against an elite team just before season start.
- Bergvall is immense both on and off the ball. Might be our best midfielder quickly.
- Bentancur offers much better composure.
- Sarr struggles against technical players, his passing needs to be better. For me Bentancur still ahead.
- Moore will be quality but needs to psychically grow.
- Gray is class on the ball but needs to accept he can’t beat 5 players as losing the ball deep is dangerous.
- Davies really struggles in this system. We need cover left back.
- Spence isn’t a left back, fine on the right.
- we need a CF to play. Thankfully we now have Solanke.
- passing out from the back you need better ball players like Romero on the pitch.
- we still look vulnerable at set pieces.
- Johnson needs to up his game. Being invisible isn’t workable.
- Son, Bissouma, Maddison, Dragusin all hits at miss within the same game.
Bergvall the stand out winner.

Every pre season game has improved when the youngsters come on and show so much more hunger and energy . Give them a chance .
Bayern are 2 weeks behind us in their preparation for the new season. The Bundesleague starts in 2 weeks time..
Well with pre-season done, I have to say out of all the youngsters Bergval looks ready to fight for a place in the starting 11. I'm surprised by how good his physicality is - no headless chicken pressing from him unlike some. When he goes for it, he more likely than not gets the interception. He looks to have plans with the ball before he receives it, very positive, forwards moving player. Yes he's prone to losing the ball at times but this is where I expect this part of his game to grow.

What part of my post would suggest otherwise? You’re a moron if you think we are going to play this lot off the park - top 2 in PL from last year would struggle to do that. Second half a good performance with minutes in the legs for our first choice defenders. Good cameos from Bergvall and Gray again. It’s pre season… City lost to Celtic the other week, you think they’re in for a long season (aside from one that goes on to the FA Cup/UCL final)?
