Oh absolutely. I have no issue with Ange, Angeball or the way we play in general. When it clicks it's fucking beautiful, phenomenal and unstoppable. We saw that in those first ten games and sporadically in the other 28.

It gives up chances and even then, you will concede goals in football matches. Even set pieces. There isn't a defence in the planet immune to it.

My *personal* gripe is the refusal to work on defending set pieces and the sheer number of goals we started giving up with alarming regularity, or his "we don't change our approach to the opposition, mate" bollocks.

Because the opposition certainly change their approach to us. And then being stubborn and headstrong to your approach becomes predictable.

I want Ange here, and I want him to win things with us. He's got us playing exciting stuff again, which we'd kind of lost for 5 years. I just want him to consider being less obvious at times and perhaps actually try and work on not conceding so many goals from set plays. Not stop it altogether. That's impossible and unrealistic.

Ange didn’t really say he was refusing to work on set pieces, he said he had bigger priorities at the time last year.

If he’s asked this year and he says it’s still not a priority then that’s alarm bells for me.

He says it's a non-issue and not something he's interested in working on. 🤣

Like you say, let's see what this season brings. But he said this just 3 months ago. 🤣

They were better but never more entertaining.

Pep ball and the Diet version Arteta plays are dull as dishwater.
Well I disagree. So many of our games were snooze fests. Keeping the ball, passing it 1000 times round the opposition box to ultimately get fuck all on target and then get hit on the counter like an u8 team, I don't call that entertaining.

First 10 or so games, even that Chelsea debacle...sure, that was fun.

But bar a couple shiny results here and there, the rest of the season was way below par on every level.

See what the big fella's learnt this time round.

Even if they don't care about money that would be a stretch. Have to assume they like what they see in him. If Madueke is available now that could be nice competition for our RW. Somebody said recently he's not even HG. Didn't he grow up in England?

Madueke grew up in England and was Spurs u16 captain but declined to sign a scholarship with us due to lack of first team path under Poch so went to Netherlands aged 16, before returning to oin Chelsea aged about 21.

The criteria for HG is essentially being registered with a club affiliated to The FA for 3 years between the ages of 15 and 21 - as Madueke in Netherlands for most of that time he's not HG.
