Who's the last Striker that scored on his debut for us?

I can only think of Defoe, Klinsmann and Clive Allen.... any others?
I know Kane didn't...
Did Sheringham? Genuinely question...

Oooh, found the answer!

Mido and Freddie Kanoute!
There's some other corkers in there... A surprisingly high number of defenders for some weird reason!

Thanks Google!

Soldado definitely did. Penalty.

Got to be honest, buzzing for this now no matter what team we put out. Can’t beat the first game. Winning that first game just gives everyone a massive boost.
Only thing that dampens my spirits for this game is the moody kick-off time, didn't even know you could start your season at 8pm on a Monday night tbh, I knew there was usually a friday game but thought all remaining fixtures played out on the Sat/Sun of the first fixture.
Hopeful it's quiet at work and I can get it on 5 live on the radio.

Coming in as of this weekend is a change to the added time rules. Last season saw large amounts of minutes added on at the end of games and to try and remedy this, goal celebrations will be accounted for differently.

Teams will be allowed 30 seconds after a goal is scored to get back into position; any time over this will be added to the additional time by officials. All three London clubs will need to look at utilising this time for their own goal celebrations.

Offside is automatic now so that’s 5mins per game at least that we don’t need to add on.

The time added on was a good thing. Now the time wasters will be punished less now.

Don’t think that’s starting until October or so.

PL announcement: It is anticipated the technology will be ready to be introduced after one of the autumn international breaks.

And yes, I think it should be at the start of the season otherwise someone will get screwed (us) and someone will benefit (Liverpool, Woolwich) by a shit decision.

If it's not ready for the whole season don't use it. It's not fair, like you said.
