I just read over on BBC Sports that Chelsea have a squad of forty players?

Since when have the PL changed the rules that teams can now make fifteen substitutes a match?
There needs to be a public awareness campaign about this. Unless people take precautions there is as much as a one in ten chance they will be signed to a Chelsea contract at some point in their lifetime.

On Odobert.

If Maddison plays poorly tonight I can see the club going hard for Eze.
With the release clause expired the club can negotiate a fee with Palace spread out over 5 years, without the massive upfront payment, which seems to have put Levy off.

Eze didn't really fit with last seasons squad of fast forwards waiting for passes from Maddison, but with Solanke and Odobert in the team it would suit Eze's style better.

Good point , hopeful but good.👏👏😂

I think the fact that the club are selling Skipp shows how much they are bothered about having a full complement of club trained in the euro squad. . Basically couldn’t care less. We don’t need to buy players just to sit on a bench. To suggest we might buy one of the above mentioned players just to fill a gap defies description.
Have a look at other clubs euro squads last season. They just fill the gaps with youngsters.
While I do agree that playing the younger lads to fill gaps is the way to go. Gray, Bergvall and Devine look to be great prospects.

Can't help but think we need another experienced midfielder. Sarr played a lot of football but is still young.

Bissouma and Bentancur had less than 40 starts between them last season.(Both have question marks regarding their performances, for different reasons)

The other clubs did do that, but they didn't win it either.

If Palace aren't accepting £65m for Guehi then they sure as he'll won't accept anything less than £100m for Eze, they're not about to lose 3 of their key players in the same window.

Forget the Eze thing, it's over.

If anything and if Man City do want him it makes it easier for them to sign him than us. But yeah I think he stays. He’s a good player but to a purchaser he isn’t worth that. Also we know with city they will lowball too like with Kane.

Doubt he moves anywhere at all not, Palace won't be able to replace him in a short amount of time.

Surprised we have sold Skipp and Hojbjerg. It no secret that we have also tried to sell Bissouma.

Maybe we are the reason Zumbimendi turned down Liverpool? Is he coming to us?

Nothing against Hjojnerg or Skipp but moving both on, subject to the completion of Skipp's medical.is the right call at the right time.

We must however bring a better player/players in.

Indeed. Hojbjerg played 39 games for us last season and Skipp 25. I see Grey picking up some of those minutes, but we don't seem too strong in the number 6 area if Bissouma can't be trusted.

I wonder if the delay in announcing Skipp is to allow a replacements paperwork to be completed.
