Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Those two 18 year olds are incredibly talented individuals but I’m trying to see the bigger picture of it. How can we realistically challenge for a trophy ( no matter which one) without squad depth ? The season is already compromised. The squad will not stay fit all season and you need many quality subs if you wanna challenge for trophies
So are you saying Gray and Bergvall aren't quality subs?

Telling that in the 70th minute, when the team runs out of steam against *Leicester City*, that the best Ange has available are two 18 year olds & Timo f*ckin Werner. Vacuum of ambition yet again, which is why Kane (and so many others) had to leave in the first place
But his two 18 year olds are very good. Forget the age thing because these two will be starters for us by October latest. I agree on Werner. Waste of space another wage thief with no heart!

We have squad depth. We have a very large and expensive squad of players.

We are in year 2 of a total rebuild of our team, so adjust expectations accordingly. If you thought we’d be signing world class players for huge money when we aren’t even in the CL, you need a reality check.

Why does their age matter? They both performed very well. Apart from Bergvall's one mistake getting caught in possession they were mobile, energetic, skillful and made good decisions. I'm happy to have those two on the pitch any time. In fact if they'd come on after 55 minutes instead of 70 I daresay we win that game.

I know it felt like they turned the game back in our fabour, but I think the long injury treatment settled everyone down a bit. We maybe need to be a little more cute when teams suddenly start piling on and do that to get our composure back.

What's the point if they don't start. Imagine having Johnson starting ahead of you
You can only start 11 players and having 2 internationals with a combined fee over £100,000,000 come on counters your complaint that we only had 2 18 year olds to come on. That's not what happened.

I'd pick Johnson ahead of Kulusevski against low block teams. There's more chance of him using some pace to get in behind and drill a ball into the box than Kulusevski.

The reality check is:

Kudus was cheaper than Brennan Johnson
Palmer was cheaper than Brennan Johnson
Olise was cheaper than Brennan Johnson
Gordon was cheaper than Brennan Johnson

Levy is trolling this football club. And fans are lapping it up

We needed upgrades in our front three to win anything. Our last game was embarrassing all over them for most of the game & they were utterly dog shit
So you're writing of Solanke after 1 game and Odobert even before his first game?

And you're embarrassed because we were all over them?

I kind of feels like you're just angry that we didn't win, despite dominating most of the game, despite a decent debut from our new striker, and despite bringing on some excellent subs for the last 20 minutes. Fair enough, I'm upset we didn't win too. But I think our process is ok. We've been struggling to find form, both individually and collectively, for a long time now. But a disrupted preseason (due to Euros, Copa and late transfers) was never going to have us magically hit the ground running game one.

Imagine going from prime Son and Kane, to aging Son, Johnson, Werner, etc. You will not find a bigger downgrade in all of football. One new player in the starting 11. Pretty much same 11 as last season. Expect nothing else.

New season but same concerns. Wingers not good enough and clean sheets just never happening.

Nobody wants to be right.
It just so happens many of us aren't blind to problems.

Posts like this always make me laugh. Like there's this sub-section of Spurs fans who are ever so noble and wise and can, therefore, predict with absolute certainty not only what the problems are (like the rest of us aren't aware of the team's various weaknesses  ) but that these problems will never be fixed under the current manager.

This is Ange's second season. Every project takes time. Even Pep took 18 months to force City into his image with every resource at his disposal. We all see the problems but there is simply no cause to sack a manager this early in their project unless he completely loses the dressing room because he lacks authority and respect of the squad.

We have (and continue) to completely change our list. We are incredibly young squad now. Everyone is aware of "the problems" - it's just that normal sane fans have normal sane expectation management.

No one is saying fans can't highlight our frustrating final third performance or how open we are to counters or set piece issues - we all see the problems. But there's a difference between discussing problems and creating a poisonous atmosphere of negativity.

Mate I went back through your last 50 posts and they are all just moaning. Onto ignore with you.

Neither will be starters at 18 years old. Do you know how many 18 year olds are automatic starters for clubs in the top 6? Virtually none.

I swear people are delusional when it comes to our young players, you’re expecting them to be prodigies, it doesn’t work like that.

Pace isn’t important against low blocks. Johnson is useless against low blocks. He needs space to run into. Guys like Johnson and Werner are pointless when it’s tight. They offer next to nothing. Deki is a better option against st low blocks. Moore is a better option against low blocks. Hopefully Odobert gives us something different.

You telling me that Bergvall doesn’t offer more than Sarr,Biss and Bentancur in terms of taking the ball, passing, play riskier passes in the final third, finds areas to hurt teams and his delivery from set pieces.
Nothing delusional about it mate. He’s better than what we have starting.
