Player Luka Vuskovic

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I tend to get the feeling Romero will be at Real next season and Dragusin will be our RCB. If that happens Vuskovic will be needed straight away so he might not have to be loaned.
It's a possibility for sure. I'm not sure Dragusin has the passing ability to be Ange's main CB. VDV isn't a passer either. If Romero did go next year I think they'd have a decision to make for recruitment because Vuskovic can pass and is clearly the long term plan for Romero but will he be ready next year?

The guy could probably get a loan to any league he wants next season. Bundesliga would be great tbh.

Leipzig seem to like developing youngsters that don't belong to them. Let him go there.

Though tbh with the amount of games he's played since he was 15 and his physique, he'd probably be more than ready to deputise for us next season.

Agree on VDV. Great defender but doesn't have the passing range required.

Vuskovic and VDV has the makings of an insane partnership.

I do reckon we'll probably sign another CB with a bit more experience if Romero goes and then Vuskovic maybe stays as 4th choice for next season. If he's good enough there's every chance he leapfrogs Dragusin immediately.

What do you mean not comparable and not good enough?

I mean that it is extremely different, either player has already completed 2400 minutes in previous year in very physical English league (Colwill) or not (Vuskovic).
And I mean that 1200 minutes (which is equivalent to 13 full games) in EPL is not enough for player of this age. We should aim for more.

And if best case anyone has to offer from past 10 years is Colwill 1200 minutes (again, after having successful Championship season completed in previous season), then its pretty obvious it's not gonna happen with Luka either.

He's played at 3 different clubs in 3 different countries the last few years. I reckon we'll keep him around as part of the 1st team squad next season to settle like we have done with Bergvall.

-90 minutes played
-58/69 passes completed
-1 chance created
-12 passes into the final third
-3 clearances
-1 headed clearance
-4 ball recoveries
-5/6 aerial duels won
-0 fouls committed
-0 times dribbled past
He’s levels above every challenge he moves to. Passing could tighten up a bit, but he’s some talent.

You'd assume dropping 12m on a 16 year old from the Croatian league means he's a real special talent and would have a much higher ceiling than the others.

Phillips looks far too wooden but hopefully Dorrington can get up to fitness again and be ready for pre-season next year.

Next summer will be interesting. Assume he'll be going on tour.

Wonder where it leaves Phillips and Dorrington.

Dorrington has not been on a loan, nor a pre-season as yet.

So I'd guess he goes on a loan next season (maybe Championship) and probably after Christmas this season to a L1 club followed by next preseason. So its more likely 26/27 (season after next) when he's likely to be in contention at Spurs.

Next season, 25/26, Phillips will have completed a full Championship loan so probably experienced enough to play PL but still only aged 20, whilst Vuskovic only aged 18/19 but with experience in several leagues.

One or either could go out on loan again - both still young to be a PL CB - or join Romero, Van de Venn and Dragusin in spurs first team squad. Nice problem to have in many ways.
