Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The point is that we hired new staff to be in charge of our set piece coaching, therefore our set piece defending last season isn't relevant.
Yep, it sounds like if the chef was upgraded to be our set piece coach you'd be satisfied because we hired "new staff to be in charge of our set piece coaching" making all of our struggles last season a distant memory.

BTW, I noticed you ignored my response to you about Mr Mongomery only having managed in Australia and Scotland so I'll kind assume it was an oversight and not intentional.

Accepting mediocrity is what leads to experiencing it.

Well, I disagree that it's still shite. Romero fell asleep, but I don't think that's because Montgomery coached him to fall asleep on set pieces, it's just him continuing his form this season.
Then fucking drop him then. 🤷‍♀️

If you see our set pieces differently then fair play. I'm still seeing chaos at times. Just helped by a rule change that says you can no longer push our keeper. 🤣

I want to be patient but on days like this it is hard.

But the question is, if we replace him, who do we go for?

Tuchel is the biggest free name. But he is a disaster waiting to happen.

Potter could work. But he seems to want "big big" jobs now.

Maybe someone like Pioli could work. An adaptable, savvy manager that is used to working under a bit of a budget and developing younger talent. While still competing. He did great at Milan.
thats down to the people with the money to do some actual research. there will be 1 or 2 new hot managers at the end of the year, there normally is. we need someone whos young and up to date with the game. its a younger mans job now, the games evolved.

This is the last I'll say on the matter today because I'm fucking annoyed, but I find his manner intensely dislikeable.

Just watched his post match comments. He omits this sort of bemused, bored arrogance, shrugs his shoulders. He's clearly a complete bully; the way he challenges people who ask him questions.

He is absolutely nowhere near good enough to get away with the sort of shtick.
Some of the stupid banal questions they ask though!

I think we’d probably act the same if hurting after a defeat.

Id have David Moyes over this shite.
Tom Hardy Bait GIF

Nuno Santo

Points per game 1.53

Ange Postecoglou

Points per game 1.38

And Ange has had waaaay more time and support than Nuno did.

And everyone rightly thinks that Nuno was shite.

But people will die on the Ange hill.

For the record..... I'd give him this season and reassess.

But the myth that he's the new Messiah has been well and truly broken.

I know. They goaded him with the question about set pieces and saying 'I'm sure you practise them'.

But he's their best mate during midweek press updates, laughing and joking and basking in the attention. But sulks as soon as we lose. So, at the moment, he's sulking a lot.

At the very heart of this, I don't actually think he likes taking responsibility for things. He says he does, but he's always looking for an out.

Poch every day of the week for me. We may not win silverware....but at the fuggin least, we'll play exciting attacking football once again. I'd rather be on the cusp of greatness year in year out than waddling along the bottom like a band of sloths. Beggars can't be choosers innit

Because the way things have gone so far and the level of performance and complete lack of tactical nouse he could be flirting dangerously near the bottom 3 very soon
So?
How’s that really any different to the regular 8-4th range?

Win some games, lose some others. Never really feel much.

I might pay attention to the Europa and Cups this year to see what happens there but the second best team in the country play Dyche ball to get results. The best team are so far ahead they can start seasons slowly before winning just to feel something.

I’m /was willing to give him a chance his football philosophy attack & entertain I’m all for it after Mourinho & Conte and their eye bleeding stuff it would have been refreshing and at the start a novelty + he got away with it at the start of last season but since before Xmas up until now he has been struggling that’s 6months and no sign of any improvement he’s to adapt to the opposition because we are no winning or challenging for the league we know that…..but are capable of doing something in the cups but Ange the futhur you go in the cups the better the teams will be it’s okay to grind out a result if need be we don’t care about flashy football all the time just get results when you need them ffs

I know the feeling! 🤬😂

He takes far more responsibility than throw them under the bus Cunte and Moanhino.

I’d rather our manager was pissy as f@@k in defeat than sat there all chipper, happy go lucky!

This is a bit out in left field, but I don't think Ange's pork pie addiction gets talked about enough. The constant throat clearing, the repressed shame being projected as passive aggressive snippy comments to reporters. I've seen it all before. It never gets any better. He needs help
