Because he's finished second a couple times?

I don't care who is on the market that's better than him. Changing coaches isn't the problem solver that people think it is. Winning takes time, patience, conviction and belief. Or it takes massive financial doping a la Chelsea or City... and even then.

This club will never spend like that under these owners so it's going to be painful, disheartening and likely feel hopeless no matter what coach we have. AND, then when whichever coach we do have gets close, they will probably not give them what they need to really win because there is no evidence that they actually want to build any real expectation to win.

Mate I've not seen him smile since that City game, for me that game ended him.
He's going through the motions now picking up his wages and being a Levy yes man. It takes a winner like a Conte to walk out of a job through pride. This guy no longer gives a fuck believe it.

Our attack is shit though. I’d say our midfield is too. I’m no Ange apologist but he complained all last season about our attack s as bad we give him Werner and Solanke. It’s fucking shit.

Oh I agree but then he should have shown a bit of pride and walked like Conte rather than trying to claim he's happy with the players he's been given. It's his career and him that looks a fool and it all plays into Levy's hands

Just because it's different.

Progress usually comes from striving and persevering not flip-flopping around until something maybe works because it's different.

It's rough right now because what we are trying to do isn't working the way it should. It's shit at times. No denying that but that's also exactly what people should be expecting. It would be like this regardless of the type of system the manager was trying to implement.

We were talking about belief and conviction. They are all like discipline, it's not about what you do when the sun is shining and everything works perfectly. It's what you do and think when nobody is watching or when you don't feel like it.

It's got nothing to do with party lines.

Found out is a myth. You execute your plan better than the other team, you win. If you don't execute the plan, you probably don't get results.

Right now our forwards aren't executing the most important part of the plan. Ange needs to fix that. It looks like it's not going to be an easy fox either.

Changing manager wouldn't be an easy fix either. It might give some fans a junky hit of endorphins and false hope but then issues would arise and those would take time to fix too.

Well Ange signed off on signing Solanke, Johnson, Werner and Odobert.

He has his forwards so he needs to get a tune out of them.

If Son is not up to it then Ange needs to have the bollocks to drop him. Instead he's made him captain.

Yep looks lost and snapping at legitimate questions. I want to hear something from my manager that suggests he is going to solve the problems but I don't get that from Ange. I know the high line and set pieces are going to continue to cost us points all season.

hes said himself that he oversees the signings tho. today he could of been brave and shown a bit and changed the system and got some actual ball players on in the middle, instead he brings on the likes of werner!! whats he expecting to happen? be brave and get bergvall on in the middle to link up with maddison and space will open up out wide as theres a threat centrally then.

I haven’t seen his post match quotes as on the train home from the game but he didn’t argue against it in the summer. However I can see why. They were probably the cards he was dealt and he tried to make the best of it.

I resigned myself to the fact we’d finish mid table this season. The sooner we all do that and hope for a run in a cup the better. Then we can just try and enjoy the wins when they come. We are going backwards fast. Annoying where you’re paying thousands for season tickets but if I didn’t look at it like that I’d be far too angry.

Do think he turned a lot of fans against him with his ridiculous reaction.
 
Last year we were 3-0 down at half time, this season we had way more control of the game and should have taken the chances we created especially in the first half.

Set pieces are an issue and need addressing. The game today was fine margins and unfortunately Woolwich took advantage through very sloppy defending.

Hes 60. Hes isnt going to leave millions on the table and walk. We could have had eze and toney for round about 100m. But levy doesnt want to pay the wages or the transfer fee in a oner.

Yeah back to basics, more solid, more difficult to beat. There is zero evidence to suggest this will turn without doing something different. This has been months in the making, its not just some little blip.
