It seems a cheeky chappy persona goes a long way towards buying you time with this fanbase.

We are coming up to 12 months now on a downward trend and he is absolutely failing to get the most out of this squad.

The wait and see brigade are surviving on nothing but blind faith.

Our next 5 games:
Brentford (H)
United (A)
Brighton (A)
WHU (H)
Palace (A)

I would not be at all surprised if we took something like 4-6 points from that run. Leaving us around 8-10 points after 9 games. Relegation form.

At what point would Levy pull the trigger on Ange?

Must be already near it

A few boos in the second half yesterday watching that shite!

The crux of it for me, is that is this squad performing to the level it should, no.

Is the squad good enough to compete the title no and that is not on Ange, but is it better than it has performed since the Chelsea in 2023 game, yes.

We have a good squad, and this season a solid bench. Tactically we are inept, so, so vulnerable and struggle to create real chances, recipe for disaster.

We have tactically been found out over a year ago and failed to adapt.

We are utterly woeful at defending set plays, to the point it is actually embarrassing.

Our stubbornness to adapt means we literally play into the oppositions hands, they just sit back, counter and play for corners. Such basic management needed by opposition teams.

I see no optimism whilst we refuse to change tactically. It does not work with this group of players.

I do find it weird how some of these pundits are only talking about it being a bad start to this season,
ive always found it weird, im not a conspiracy theorist but its almost like they want us to be shit. if that was any other big club they would highlight the poor run thats gone on for a long time.

the united lot will highlight poor ten hag tactics but if ange does something similar thats damaging it wont get brought up, its very strange.

Are they though? Or are we just seeing a lot of the ball?

Most of our shots are pop-shots from outside the box, with Porro the main culprit.
Against Leicester we should've taken a couple of chances, they were clear-cut scoring opportunities. Even the performance against Newcastle didn't deserve a defeat. His set-piece stubbornness is my biggest concern with him though, and I had this concern ever since Bayern scored 2 set pieces in the friendly at WHL.

100%. fans now think a lot of these players are shit when thats not the case. yes the forwards are still not at the level needed but we should still be doing a hell of a lot better.

we are going backwards now, we might pump some shit team, thats more to do with them. but any semi decent side knows they just have to get compact and counter, stick it under vicario at set pieces and its an easy game.
I agree

We have imo the fourth or fifth best squad in the league.

Ten Hag is easy to bully because he's a weird freak.

Ange has the media scared because he snaps back and at the same time plays this nice guy persona when it suits him. Journos don't fancy being on the end of one of his insults in a press conference. They'd rather be his "mate".

the thing is, its all well and good saying missed chances for the odd game. but its 10 points from 11 games now, thats not down to poor luck. hes being exposed hard, as someone rightly said, who the fuck is going to touch him after this? he wont get another job at a top league after this. could you imagine him with an actual squad that was probably around 10-12 in the league? hed get them relegated in embarrassing fashion.

And completely avoidable
Think he was trying to say every goal that every team is a mistake. Which is nonsense, there's great goals all the time that can't be stopped. Even Alan Hansen would grudgingly admit that.
Our goals conceded on the other hand could be scripted every week.

I'm not convinced he makes it past those 5 games tbh.
All of those coaches will have seen what both Newcastle and Woolwich did to see us off. Even Leicester had the same plan. Weather the storm for a bit, keep us outside the box as best you can, then try to get something on the break.

Frank and ETH will definitely sit deep and counter. 100%
Brighton away is never easy either.
If we fail to win any of those, it's probably over.

i think the pressure must be on now, brentford is a must win. we cant pick up 2 points from the next 2, 2 draws aint gonna suffice. 6 points from 6 is shocking.

the longer he stays the more damage he does now. we need him gone ASAP.

Yep plus we've got form for fumbling against Spammers whether home or away.
Palace always give us a game at their place.

West Ham and Palace come after the international break.

I reckon even if we pick up 3 from 9 points in the next 3 league games but we beat Cov and win the two EL games he will survive.
If there is no uptick in those 2 PL games post break then I agree he's probably gone.

If he doesnt take at least 4 pts from the next 3 league games he'll be gone in the October international break imo.

its a serious handicap when the opposition are allowed to be flexible and you aint.

the fact that even better sides than us are coming to just soak it up and counter shows how silly it all is. its an easy game for them because they know exactly how it will play out if they just get compact and counter.

No other manager will do better when they have to choose from Son on current sh!t form, Kulu, Brennon, Wermer and the youngsters signings of the summer. The mid is no better.

Yesterday against woolwich, Ange took off Brennon, Bent and whoever and brought on Wilson, Wermer and Sarr. Who on earth expected anything significant from the subs?!

To make matters worse, Woolwich had 2 decent forwards to bring on in Sterling and Jesus.

I think Son is finished. We have to rely on Solanke to deliver but he needs support from donkeys around him.
