Match Coventry City v Tottenham Hotspur | Carabao Cup 3rd Round | Sept 18th | 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Utterly shite performance.
Shite starting line up.
So lucky and underserved.
I don’t think we would have won penalties.
Ange got out of jail big time. I hope he learns from this near calamitous cup exit but I don’t think he will change.
Rinse and repeat.

Moving the ball a bit quicker won us that game - should try it a bit more often, Kulu helps that in that middle. Sometimes just bundles the ball through a tight defensive block, which is very effective when we have runners.

I said after the Leicester game that we would have plenty of games where we would play worse and win. This game was a prime example. I normally try to keep a sense of proportion about our performances, but I have to admit we were dreadful here. We deserved nothing from that match.

Even the celebrations from team and coaches were as miserable as I've ever seen from a stoppage time winner.
Because they saw the same dross we saw and they know people who know what they're watching saw it as well, nothing to be proud of at all but we wait for the rousing comments from the Aussie dream chaser which will no doubt give his followers an immense boost.

No one can blame lack of spending for that performance as Coventry would have spent so much less. That crap is all on Ange and the players who gave the ball away time after time, kept passing backwards and were toothless up front until the last few minutes. There seemed no plan and no confidence. That performance was worse than against Woolwich but we only won as Coventry could not take their chances.
