Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Johnson showed both sides today but still was a solid contributor to this excellent team of performance.

Good - The goal is real quality and I was just bitching after the Woolwich game that he has to be able to win and score some 1 on 1s and he did here. So far he’s really only been able to go to his right foot in these situations. If he gets overplayed, he may need to figure out how to go left.

Neutral - I’d rate most of the rest of the game average, with some ok plays and some mistakes.

Bad - That finish on sons layoff and a few other finishes were not up to standard. He probably had the most clear cut opportunities out of anyone. On the son layoff, I know it was a bit heavy but Johnson can still smash that near post. He’s got to test the keeper from that tight.
Solanke had the best chances. If anyone should have had another goal it’s him - our number 9.

Still a very good performance by solanke

He's an AMAZING PLAYER
Doesn't need to work on anything especially his finishing after scoring that goal
He's already world class
why are you the way that you are GIF

I think Johnson’s biggest issue right now is indecision. Definitely a lack of confidence. The Son layoff is definitely bad.

The other times he was caught between a shot and a cross. If he can pick corners like he did his first goal I want to see him be more selfish and shoot more.

I can't speak because I don't go due to living in another country (mostly) but it's time these cunts get told to fuck off in person.

Out of possession he was an animal. Pressing and locking down the entire right flank, sprinting back for covering tackles with Romero...the whole deal. Needed to finish the sitter from Son tho, agreed.
I get where you’re coming from but also don’t feel they deserve my attention when I want to support the team.

Johnson Johnson Johnson.

Guy gives his all. Gets too down on himself but nobody can doubt he wants to succeed for himself and the club.

Compare him to fatso Ndombele, sickness Lo Celso and a few other wasters.
Totally.

Not a reason to be an arse about other players but even at his worst he’s trying - maybe too hard. That should provide grounds for understanding at least

Lively thread all of a sudden, people on here who don't rate this player are being called poisonous cunts, all because of a goal, by people claiming to hate "non constructive criticism" of a millionaire who will never read the posts on this forum.

Btw, I've been at many more a game where his first touch or decision is greeted with a groan and rightly so but I guess a goal in the sunshine against the mighty Brentford is enough to magically give a player the technical ability required to start for a top 6 team.
Cheer up wankstain we won

He was very meh tbh, despite the goal kept on giving away the ball most of the time and didn't track back.
He played ok first half with let’s be honest a great finish. Think 2nd half not so good. Also had two other great situations one which was like a cross shot may be caught in two minds. Thing is he needs to be involved in build ups more and be able to play nice passes otherwise he will just be a moments player. I reckon his touch map would be low. Also when the team is under pressure he needs to be available as an out ball. Whether he can become this type of player remains to be seen. What i do reckon is v top teams we cannot play son and Johnson. I’d be tempted to go with a front two either solanke/son or Johnson. Even son Johnson front two might work in some games.

Not good enough to be honest.

The players we have aren't the standard, rather than go for korean, I think ange should have gone for Japanese.

Sell
Johnson
Son
Kulu haven't been good enough
Sarr
Vicario
Bentacur

Keep
Bisoumma
Maddison
Porro
Romero
Van der ven

Go for
Angel gomes
Zhegrova
Joao pedro
Brandt

This is a thread on Brennan Johnson not a thread for you to post absurd transfer fuckwittery.

Your ‘sell’ list is utterly nonsensical btw but thanks for popping in 🤣🙄
