I’m disappointed in Ange: the honest press conferences; the buck stops with me attitude; he blatantly said he doesn’t change then goes and does something different; the worldly view and support of his players and the sheer gall to try and implement a winning attitude at Spurs. As that circus dwarf with a glory hole for a mouth Rory Jennings says, Ange out!
Maybe I'm getting old, but I can't tell if this is satire or not.

Much, much better approach to the attacking play in Brendford game. Ange earned some serious credit with this one.
Brendford came out to play, and with that kind of gameplan we smothered them. We took their room and there was also very little last-man-recovery-runs that was needed.

From players side Bentancur was MUCH better than in cup game during week. Had lot more influence, stopped the attacks and passed the ball around. Madders being obviously MoM - played many more passes upfield without hesitation and this created room for us.

Obvious part of our game we have to work on is to have our attackers/midfielders/fullbacks in those positions into which the cutbacks are placed. Many times there was a sharp ball going to penalty spot, but no Spurs player there to meet it.

Next EPL game is gonna be juicy... ManU away, and on equal points with us in EPL table. I hope we can replicate similar kind of intensity. Cause I doubt ETH is in position to sit very deep and play passive football against us at home.

So 2 wins from 2 games from past week - let's kick on from here and do the same this week!

So what’s the problem when all the cherrypicked metrics look good but position league doesn’t? Don’t say luck (or lack of) because personally I don’t believe in it.

Some of those aren’t even positive by default. Possession isn’t positive by default and nor is crosses. In fact both can be evidence of negatives under certain circumstances.

Good performance the other day. But I think we need to pump the brakes a little on this supposed new dawn under Ange. Memories are short, the Coventry performance was one of the worst Spurs games I've ever seen. We've still lost 7 of our last 12 in the league, and won 2 games away in the whole of 2024. I need to see us perform well and win away against a top half side, three points at Old Trafford would go a long way to silencing the doubters.

I need to bitch about two things and the Ange thread is always perfect for going completely off-topic:

1. What is this new website design? Emojis as reactions? Anyone who uses Slack for work knows this sucks. Agree, Like/Thanks, Funny, Disagree was a fucking staple.

2. "Before you post, is your message something that could get you sin banned or banned?" How woke is this? Let everybody post everything. The Foul function is there for a reason. It is always the same 10 asshats after a defeat who cant control themselves and get a yellow.

I mean, we’ve played 4 league games this season.

Looked good in 3/4. Results obviously not great so far. No swerving that. Performances only matter when they lead to results eventually.

He is out of his depth IMO and 3 points at home to Brentford changes fuck all for me.
The result and performance Saturday was an improvement on what we had seen.
I think he will need a run of results for a while, just to get the team in the groove so to speak.
But yes, a lot of people will still have doubts, one game isn't going to change everything, it looks like it's going to be a slow process.
