Match Brighton & Hove Albion vs Tottenham Hotspur - Sunday 6th October - 16:30KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Almost said at half time that it was too good to be true but that proved to be the case. Can we never rid ourselves of this ability to self destruct. Another poor result before an international break.

Brighton have been much more aggressive this half and we fell to pieces for long enough to concede 3 goals.

All teams, no matter how good, have to be able to cope with spells of pressure at some point in a game. We don't seem to be able to play unless we are totally dominating, we are like a boxer with no punch resistance.
We do have a tendency to be a bit of a glass cannon.

It’s been a dreadful second half, nobody has shown any courage. Really feeble reaction to the first Brighton goal. We shouldn’t shrivel up just because one player makes a mistake.

Every single player lost their head after Udogie gifted them that goal, we lost almost every duel after that and nobody had the guts to take the team forward.

It should be unbelievable to have so much control in the first half to having absolutely none in the second against the same team. But it's fully believable. We've all seen it before. Too many of our players hide when the going gets tough. Maddison, Werner, Bentancur... It's embarrassing.

This is not simply about defensive lapses in my honest opinion there is a systematic lack of game management. I think it stems from how we are coached to approach games. It's like basketball under Ange, that requires way better natural defenders than Romero and Udogie will ever be. It requires defensive perfection. I saw it at Old Trafford and we kicked united ass.

Completely unacceptable second half. Anyway, if there will be any excitement this season it will be in one of the cups, we are not good and consistent enough to do anything noteworthy in the league (probably around place 6)

Great first half. Shocking second half. That’s what this club is. At times, brilliant. But spineless at other times with a distinct lack of character. It’s the Spurs roller coaster and we’re all on it.

And to do it to us before an international break is just so Spurs.
This shit show today was more like being on the porcelain rollercoaster!! Spineless 2nd half performance, depressing 😵‍💫
