Back to back wins please to go on another good run. Keep given minutes to those who need it and more senior players to come on to keep sharp.

If this game was away Werner would be the first name on my team sheet but after Saturday I think the fans could be on his back if (when?) he fecks up.
Of course Ange won't give a feck about that so this game could be seminal for Werner. I have a good feeling he will perform well and get a goal or assist.

I'm gonna be on holiday for the next 3 games (sorry, not sorry)
I always struggle getting anything to work on my tablet through links/streams etc and the native apps like SkyGo etc are region locked.

Can anyone recommend a good, reliable VPN that'll work on multiple devices to let me watch these games on the relevant apps?

Go strong here and win - the boffins worked out 10 points guarantees qualification from this group stage, and 9 points obviously gives you a massive chance. So win this and we can take the U21’s out to Turkey in a couple of weeks.

In fact that trip to Istanbul is our only trip outside of London between the 2 international breaks - so keeping all of our top players at home for that second game could be a huge blessing and allow the team loads more time on the training pitch to gel further.

Try one of these for Sky: Best VPN for Sky Go: How to watch Sky Go from abroad in 2024

And TNT: Best VPNs for TNT Sports (Formerly BT Sports) in 2024

I used NordVPN a couple of years ago to watch one of our games. The VPN was perfect, but the game was a shit 0-0.

We don't just want to qualify though, finishing top 8 sends you straight to the round of 16 which obviously sends you further in the competition and also means you avoid 2 play-off knockout games in Feb which could be pretty important for keeping the squad fit. Also the higher you finish gives you better seeding for the knockouts so if we're serious about this comp we should be looking to finish as high as we can in the groups. 16 points should be around what you need to top 8 and maybe around 20/21 for top 2.

10 points will result in 2 extra matches in the new year and going out of the competition if we do not take it seriously. We have made numerous mistakes in team selection in the past and unless we want to continue out trophy less run we must have sensible rotation and not a team of under 21’s. We need to finish in the top 8.

Indeed, but games like Galatasaray away are bloody horrendous in terms of difficulty and recovery.

Win the first 3, rest against Gala, take 4 points from Roma and Rangers and that will leave us with 13 points and Hoffenheim away and Elfsborg at home where we should be able to get at least 4 more points. And a top 8 finish

I’m not saying beat AZ and then put this to bed until the KO’s - I’m saying, I would be well up for resting against Gala if we beat AZ - I fancy us to pick up a lot of points in the game after Gala. 3 of those final 4 will be in the UK which will help as well
