Your latest bodycam footage? I'm guessing he still got away.

Bizarrely, I ended up enjoying that. We were thoroughly outplayed for the first half and the first bit of the second.

Drag was all over the place and couldn't pick a pass to save his life, Madders was anonymous, Sonny looked rusty, Davies was poor, Bergvall has to learn that he will not have time on the ball to fuck around because he will continue to be found out.

Lankshear's sending off was merited. I could go on.

Then, we woke up, we showed real grit, scored a terrific goal to get us back in the game, and could have sneaked a point in the end. What could (should?) have been an embarrassing thrashing turned into a nail biter.

A huge learning curve for a few of our youngsters that will stand to them in the future.

I love this club and team.

I'm sorry, but that performance before we went down to 10 men was actually embarrassing and should be totally unacceptable.
(Not including the subs in this)

We could have conceded about 15 goals.

He lacks pace, and ability on the ball, but he also isn't the smartest. A lot of these balls/crosses in behind him he is in a terrible position. Either or all of square on, not anticipating or aware of opponents, and ball watching.

He's a bit of a blinkers on meathead. Can tussle and kick/head/tackle at close quarters, but that's about it. He's basic beyond belief.

The style of play does demand a lot of the centre backs, but other teams manage to do it with centre backs that aren't Olympic-level sprinters. It would help enormously if we controlled the ball a bit more and cut down turnovers, which in turn would be helped by having improved shape in build up to play the ball out more easily and with more options. At the moment they are very precise patterns that give only certain options to the man on the ball, and organised presses deal with fairly easily.

I think when you say he isn't the smartest, it is because he is panicking about being out of position. What I mean by that is one error leads to a crisis of confidence and compounds the other errors. For example, the red card he got. It was a terrible decision to get sent off unless you are in the last five minutes of a game. However, it is also a terrible decision for a manager to force a player of less pace to track back from his own half way line to save the day. So he is put in a position where he makes terrible decisions.

As for the controlling out from the back with better patterns, that is an area of football that is focused on a lot more in modern coaching. It is something I know very little about. I am just a lot more old school. I liked Ledley King as a defender, I thought he could play in any precise pattern system, but I'd rather just let him decide to do whatever the fuck he wants with it, which may be playing a long ball up to Berbatov to assist him with one through ball. I get the sense Ange would rather the defender takes on the attacker one-on-one than finding the pass.

There was a 15 minute period where we were in total chaos but we didn't concede. That was very un-Spursy.

The bloke thought disabled people were paying a price for previous lives. Love the footballer - don't necessarily think I have to agree with his opinions.

As for the rest of it - we came here with an opportunity to learn about our squad in a game we didn't HAVE to win. Can they play the way we need them to? Job done as far I'm concerned.

You don't have to agree with him I was talking about you insulting him

How did we not have to win? It's not an experiment.

Job done?? What does that mean? That the 2nd string can pass the ball to each other?

We piss these with a stronger team.

I'm annoyed we didn't start stronger.

Also think away the formula is to play two of Biss, Sarr and Bents. Otherwise we are too exposed.

Madders starting to look like a luxury player.

Positives : we didn't give up and gave them a scare in the end.

Best be beating Ipswich now so some of our fan base can have a wank about being ahead of the goons.
Don't need that as an excuse!
