It's the owners for sure but the manager is picking and choosing the players and insisting on this tactically flawed set-up. He's also responsible for some frankly odd ball use of substitutions. He needs to be far more pragmatic in where and how he has deployed his players, he needs to be brave about confronting his favourite players when they underperform and not treating them over favourably. Mostly he has to change his ethos, winning teams love clean sheets and do care if the opposition score.
Funny how everyone on the internet knows exactly which and when to introduce substitutes in the clear knowledge that their application will change the entire course of the game.
And how to manage premier league teams.

If Ange were a younger, greener manager, I think you could forgive some of our shortcomings in terms of tactical naivete, poor in-game management, and glaring inconsistency in how motivated the team he puts out are to play against what's in front of them. But he's not a young, green manager, he's supposed to have cut his teeth already winning all these leagues and cups in Australia, Japan and Scotland that were supposedly his credentials for being given a job of this magnitude. I like the intent of what he does but I feel the "magic" of playing attacking football has worn off for me now, we spent plenty of money over the summer and if he did a shit job identifying his targets or okayed deals for players that either aren't good enough to make the first XI yet, or don't fit his system, then at least some of the blame has to lie at his door. He has said in his own words that Odobert and Johnson were his targets, he clearly wanted a striker and wasn't in staunch opposition of Solanke, he phoned Maddison himself to swing the deal with us, VDV was our first backup target at CB, then in Jan we went straight out and got him the backup CB he wanted in Dragusin, yeah maybe he hasn't been 100% satisfied with how much he's been able to do so far but he's definitely been backed with players. I don't necessarily think some of these players are as poor as they've been under Ange at points either, neither Porro or Udogie would look so defensively poor if we played with more structure when the game calls for it.

Of course, in a roundabout way you are still right, because ultimately the board selected the manager. But I struggle to think of single manager we've had in the 21st century who wouldn't be getting absolute fucking pelters for getting 1 point from 3 games against sides currently residing in the bottom 5. Do we need to go out and buy Haaland and Vinicius Jr for Ange before we're allowed to get pissed off with him for losing at home to fucking Ipswich?
How come you didn't post all of this after we beat Man Utd, villa or Wet Spam - he used the same tactics against them?

I see why you chose your pseudonym now, you got that bit right

Get Tony Pulis in when the lame ass cunts come back from international duty. Let him coach some defence into them for a few special sessions.

I bet youse they're all in Daniel's office a la D-Rose after 20 mins.
I think it's the quality of our defenders that's the problem here.

If you don't show any defensive instincts at all, you probably shouldn't be a defender in the toughest league in the world? Or only used when chasing games?

Either it's that, or maybe it's Ange's system that makes them look awful, or a combination? I think it's the first.

How many times do we see our defenders instinctivly attack the ball, most notably in the air for example?

Don’t tell me this team aren’t inconsistent. Not a single Spurs fan (who doesn’t hide behind stats) will be surprised by that result, it’s exactly the sort of spineless performance and result we are accustomed to. Chance to go 3rd/4th, weaker team at home, off the back of a big win last week. Utter embarrassment of a side

Sack him and his staff. Embarrassing he was given the job in the first place.

Thoroughly outfought by a team in Fuscia Pink, sponsored by the bastard son of John Motson.

Solanke ain't good enough, he ain't £60m player. He should have scored 2 goals, the disallowed one of his hand and the one on one with the keeper.
Kane would have scored both, 3-2 win , 3rd in the table.

I think our biggest problem is we don't know how to play against a team that isn't prepared to let us play our football, Palace and Ipswich , 2 teams that know if they let us play it will be 4 or 5 -1 so why would they not deploy the tactics we saw yesterday? Yes its frustrating to watch but they know they will get at least 2 or 3 chances to score!
It was the same versus Villa in the first half but we got the early goal second half , same as yesterday but it was handball , this team doesn't have any leaders on or off the pitch, as much as I love Sonny he aint really the type of captain this team needs!
I hate everything about the game at the minute, the shitty little social media bollox on the way to games and training , players posing with famous away supporters as well, i'm sorry maybe i'm just being old and grumpy but I don't wanna see any of that crap , I want the players to be in the zone , ready to bleed for the shirt.
I think we just have a bunch of pampered millionaires who know at the end of the day there is no pressure in this team to actually deliver , credit to Ange he is trying to change that but its just words at the minute.

Be honest - how many of our first choice starting 11 would get in Liverpool's Man City's or Arsenals team. I would suggest none.
Kulu would 100% , sonny would still be an impact players off the bench for Liverpool. I think VDV could be seen as the sucessor to Virgil and Romero if just asked to just defend would be a 8/10 player most games. Even Romero and Udogie if they were deployed as Typical win backs like Poch used to do with Rose and Walker then I think we would see better players.
We have some really good players, and we have some great prospects, its just we lack leadership.
Even Dragusin is a good defender its just he doesn't like having the ball so he doesn't work in this system.
I don't think the players are the problem , its the system - but then when it works we are great to watch, I've said before I'm not fully Ange out yet as I just can't be fucked with the starting agan and getting our hopes up with another manager and knowing our luck we would end up with Southgate!

As a club we are like some sort of cartoon character , a cross between Wily Coyote and Dick Dastardly in Wacky Races . Every time we look like we are going to climb the table or win a trophy some cunt drops an anvil on our head , or we pull the pin out of the grenade and then throw the pin by mistake and blow ourselves up .

Meh. Your arguments are lazy, and Solanke's one of the few making a fist of it.

Romero should have cleared the ball better before Szmodics scored.
Johnson should have intercepted and cleared before their second goal.

See? Easy.
