I have read that Madders gets knocked around a lot and he should not be starting but rested and being a squad members instead of starting 11 members. Makes sense to me as he is a slight man who probably gives a lot of gob to the opposition and gets it back physically !

Fulham at home in the league Sunday after a home game in the ropey league, so no travel sickness.
Fulham just got absolutely tonked after a good run of form. They're either about to fall off a cliff, or come back swinging. Either way, we need to be fully prepared for the latter. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
All the players looked sharp, first touch, speed of thought/play, against City and the opposite against Ipswich so for me when we put on a shite display it's due to both mental and physical fatigue?

This is why the reaction to a poor result / performance is so hostile.
The majority of supporters have been very confident before the games we expect to win.
My son and I discuss every match in advance and I have often found myself saying, especially early on in the season, that you could make a case for Spurs winning, losing or drawing any game.
The wins are often emphatic and the defeats are narrow but hard fought.
The real issue is the fact that Spurs have been unpredictable. The bookies must be having an absolute fucking mare.
Having said all of that; the win against City is a real turning point. It's a credible away win against the best side in the country.
Spurs now know they can beat anyone, anywhere, any time.
,chelsea, united, city , liverpool ,ars have all spent more.

Think Saturday for instance cleared out half my “last man standing” group.
Hardly any fucker was betting 4-0 on spurs win at the bookies that’s for sure.

Plenty have been on here after losses to point out the underlying stats that give the impression of improving.
Many have said the Leicester and Newcastle results in particular didn't provide the results to match our stats. I've seen many comments highlighting it.
They point out our improved goal scored and our improved goals conceded, etc. They also highlight the figures that show the set piece narrative against us is just false.
However, these people are mocked and ridiculed with comments about only results matter and the league position. As you have proved, they're called clappers and accused of being Ange fanbois.
The Ipswich and Palace games were outliers this season - we just didn't turn up. We didn't fight. We didn't compete. They were abject performances so no-one is gonna be cock a hoop after them.
In general though, we are improving and people do point it out. They're just drowned out by the eternally miserable.
Half a dozen or so EPL games before the new year, Chelsea/Liverpool in there, but all I can hope is Saturdays result against City can push us on to believe we have taken something from the previous 11 games and found a "formula" and to fear no one.

It was actually a perfect combo for them both, and the ideal way to demonstrate that SOME of Ange's substitutions can work a treat!
We're all thinking it.... But if they can't take confidence from Saturday, and still haven't learnt from the 2nd half at Brighton, away at Palace and home to Ipswich by now, then there's no hope!
Pretty much the rule of 3... We've almost completed the 'imperfect hat-trick'... NOW IS the time to learn from all 21/2 games... Which I genuinely think we will!!
The best teams (City in recent times) win between 25/30 league games every season. Lets take last season for example - they won 28 league games. Id' say just over half of them would have been emphatic wins (lets say 16) and the other 12 wins would have been games where they grinded out a close win. That is the part we are missing. So far this season we have played 12 league games and have had 6 comfortable emphatic wins. We drew and lost 5 of the 6 tight games. Thats the missing piece and the bit we need to address over the next run of games.
There is no chance we go and blitz all 3 of Fulham, Bournemouth and Chelsea next week! Its not possible, even the best City team wouldn't just hammer all 3 of them in a week! Atleast 2 of the games will be very close and the question is, can we find a way to win them close games? Thats the missing piece and its more down to the players than the manager! I've no doubt we will continue to blitz teams and have these brilliant emphatic wins, but you can't expect to win over 25 games a season like that. No team has ever done that. You need to be able to win ugly along the way!
We are doing the hard part! Just need to put it all together

I'm just really confused about us at the moment, our inconsistency is baffling. Saturday night was glorious and even if it all goes tits up from here, he's etched himself into our history books with that win, which I am sure will be remembered for a long time.
If the results pick up consistently, there is a lot to be optimistic about. Our GD is looking great, and for me that is always the biggest indicator other than points, on how a team is performing and how good they are. So that does bode well for us if it continues.
The league is wide open this season which makes it all the more annoying we lost at home to Ipswich.
We simply have to start getting consistent results.

This kind of puzzles me, as in Scotland most of the games Celtic play are against teams that "park the bus"
I think the main difference is that in the EPL even the worst teams still have enough quality to hurt you.
So I just think he needs to temper his cavalier style of play with a bit of safety. Even against the poorest teams in the EPL.
