Are you suggesting what I think you are, that we should lose two games in a row
All this concern regarding tired players. There are 7 teams in Europe with the same problem and the CL teams cannot put out weak teams, so we are not alone. I cannot remember us benefiting last season because we were rested and we played a CL team supposedly tired.
Yes we are inconsistent but do not think this is to do with tiredness but without checking the stats it seemed we had more chances against Roma but scored 2 than against MC where we scored 4. Had we got that third goal against Roma I am sure we would have gone on to win. I think the inconsistency is more to do with the mental side of the game. Things go wrong then we can crumble but when things go right we can go on to win comfortably.
Wherever possible we should put out our best players as the CL teams do.

It doesn't seem to be logical, but believe me the Thursday Nightio matches have been shown to massivley affect Sunday results. I haven't got the stats to hand, but a few years ago under poch there was a similar arguemnt on another board and the facts spoke for themselves.

I believe I remember reading that in the double winning year over Easter we played Friday, Saturday, Monday, won all three matches including twice against Chelsea, and scored about 14 goals. And one of the team got married on the Sunday and the entire team went to the wedding.
