Match ***Bournemouth v Spurs - 8.15pm Thurs 5th December (Amazon Prime)***

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm not looking forward to this game at all. Feels like the type of game we will lose, especially with all the players missing. Also Bournmouth had their best player Semenyo suspended at the weekend so he'll be fresh and ready to absolutely burn Udogie.

I've a bad feeling about this one. I think we need to rest Son tonight too. I'd love to see Gray get a start in midfield, use the squad a little more! We are looking awful leggy
If only we had Harry Wilson to call on

:angehug:

A game at the seaside , as the Stranglers might sing

Walking on the beaches
Owned by fucking leeches ( allegedly lol)

Will you just take a look over there
Where, there
Is she trying to get out of her go kart
Liberation for property developers that’s what i preach
Preacher man

Edit : Looks like there’ll be no transfers this summer
Well what a bummer
Something better change?

Not to derail a match thread but there really aren't that many big name managers available right now.

The biggest free name is Ten Hag. And would we really go for him after how his United stint fizzled out?

There's Conceicao who left Porto in the summer. But he'd get a lot of the same question marks as Ange from certain members of the fandom and media for not having worked in the Prem. He's also a massive hothead who likes picking fights with referees. But he built a super strong Porto side to his credit.

I know...

Imagine that phone call between the great man and Levy. Now that evil midget would know the feeling of getting proper mugged off.

So... thought to check my local betting side odds for the game.

We are in such a brilliant, entertaining and upcoming state that if we face BOURNEMOUTH, the most likely outcome is that Bournemouth will win it. Yep. We have reached the stage where Cherries go into game as favorites.

And if it goes like that, and at the same time Fulham would manage to win vs Brighton, then we'd be sitting in 10 th place in table. Just 5 points ahead of West Ham, that is about to sack manager for very poor results on their scale.

But hey "we are top scorers of the league and no questions could be asked about Ange" am I right :D ?

I believe it was accepted within the hierarchy that we would not be competitive for a few years and that we'd use these years to bring the wage bill down, average age of squad down, start playing exciting football again, etc.

If that's the reality then they all need sacking. You can't have that plan when you're Spurs and wealthy as fuck. We ain't Reading or Charlton.
Plus, they'd be openly lying to us then, cause all we hear is that we're here to compete, to challenge, to win. They wouldn't dare, the uber saints that they are?...

Free country last time I checked , ask away

Well yeah. That's probably true in as much when he's offered a player he'll more than likely give his approval if he's told it's a case of "take it or leave it, mate"
Exactly. As if you managed Spurs, was genuine about wanting to win stuff, and your first picks were really Gray, Bergvall, Odobert, friggin Brennan...

I mean, Ange is Ange, but I'm really struggling to believe he didn't ask for better players. Likelihood is he did, but was told they were too expensive, especially their wages. So then he got shown the deck with the B, C and D-listers and had to be happy with that. The ol Jose wanted Skriniar but got Rodon scheme.

Oi! What do you mean?

I have no idea what to expect tonight tbh. Reskky tough game. If we play at our best we can absolutely win, but Bournemouth beat city and the scum here and were better team vs Chelsea.

with Chelsea on Sunday, a win tonight would go a long way

Recent years suggest the Chelsea bus could be hit by a meteorite on Sunday and they would still win 1-0 so we really need a win here.

Hope Solanke is ready to go, but even then he’s going to be a bit knackered if he’s been unwell. I just don’t want us to be starting with Son up top through the middle.

I’ll say a tight 2-1 Spurs as I just fancy being positive despite my inner feeling.

Hmmm. Interesting ....... :sonhmm:

Where's all the money going then?

So you're telling me, Johnny, that all of them clubs except the barcodes have won a major trophy (or 100s) since we won the milky way cup in '08? Including 3 of our cunty neighbours who make less dosh than we do? Naaaaaaaahhhh no way Levy the childhood Tottenham fan and visionary, hungry chairman would let that slide. Check again.

Yeah I think what they say and what they do are very different. Levy tried the win now managers in Conte and Mourinho where they bought experienced players and he probably sees them 4 years as a complete mistake.

Actions speak louder than words and it seems we are only willing to spend money on young talents who might not help the team now. We were willing to pay 40m on Archie Gray but not Conor Gallagher for example. Also going for Odobert when Neto and Eze were on the market is another example. The proof is in the pudding. Thats why I can't see them sacking Ange this season. Levy knows he didn't sign any players (bar Solanke) who were going to instantly improve the squad this season. Instead he is hoping we can do what we did under Poch and turn this young team into a compettive team but that could take years and is no guarantee it'll ever happen.

I do agree that we play far too many no risk passes which makes it easy to defend against. Watch them tomorrow and see how many times they run in behind. They come to the ball most of the time when they are run in behind players. All hopeless and taking the ball in but for some fucked up reason they want to come to the ball. They play to their weaknesses. Games like palace away, Fulham away and Bournemouth away are where they guys will really struggle. It’s too compact, tight and frantic for them.
I hope to fuck I’m wrong but I really won’t be confident if we start with that same three from Sunday.
I think they're coming for the ball due to the lack historically of the through ball.
I remember when Werner first game and watching him sat on halfway line, on the defenders shoulder, waiting for a through ball. And it just never came. He looked so pissed of every time it came to his feet.
