Doesn't work like that. I have 300 points. I apply to every game but everyone ahead apply for tickets and sell them or give them away to maintain their points. Ever since I got my season ticket i've applied for almost every away game that I can physically attend. So I never manage to get ahead. Last season I lost more points than I earned with the lack of cup gamees. System is rigged.
I have conflicting views on this subject. I also became a ST holder at Wembley and since then have done every possible away game ( Burnley/Mboro etc on Wednesday nights and many European aways ) to boost my points total. I now have close to 400 points and can get tickets for most away games. I feel I have earned the right to get these tickets so am not entirely comfortable with the idea of a ballot system.
However……. is the away ticketing points system being abused on an industrial scale by the point hoarders? Absolutely, 100%. It is this abuse that needs to be stopped but I have absolutely no idea how that could be implemented.
I also totally agree that unless you already have300+ points it will be virtually impossible to accumulate sufficient points going forward ( unless the points hoarders can be stopped ) Hopefully a solution can be found.
I have managed to do the last 3 Newcastle away games as it's one of the few I managed to scrap points for, so don't talk to me about travel costs and the poxy weather.

So... thought to check my local betting side odds for the game.
We are in such a brilliant, entertaining and upcoming state that if we face BOURNEMOUTH, the most likely outcome is that Bournemouth will win it. Yep. We have reached the stage where Cherries go into game as favorites.
And if it goes like that, and at the same time Fulham would manage to win vs Brighton, then we'd be sitting in 10 th place in table. Just 5 points ahead of West Ham, that is about to sack manager for very poor results on their scale.
But hey "we are top scorers of the league and no questions could be asked about Ange" am I right?

watched 60 mins of it this morning, that was absolutely disgraceful performance. As bad as crystal palace but with the amount of players missing it made for an even more shambolic outcome. none of them looked remotely decent, solanke showed effort at least i guess.
I want to enjoy my Christmas, think ill just bin off watching or caring till the new year

Anyway for all of Ange's faults Levy is the main problem here. Something very fetid at the heart of the club. lose on Sunday and it gets nasty in the stadium imho.
Agreed. I so wish it was working out with Ange. Him and Levy messed up the squad though:
- too few seasoned hands (Perisic, Hojberg)
- Son in decline
- Solanke the only elite signing in the summer
I think he will be sacked if he loses on Sunday. But maybe that's optimistic? I still hope for a turnaround, but I know that Ange is tactically naive.
The problem with this, is it keeps the manager in the job. Players eventually figure out when a coach isn't going to get anywhere and this is what they do.
Sometimes it's best to just speed up the inevitable and that's why players do it IMO.
This isn't a "problem" with this bunch of players. It's just something that happens all around the world and has done for decades.
