Mason should have gone years ago. But why would he when he is on a cushy number here? No pressure or responsibility. Just sits on the bench. I’d love to know what the players think of him and what football insight he offers. Does he even have his badges yet? Anyways if he had any ambition he would have gone to take a proper coaching role or number 2 / assistant role somewhere. Bet his never had any offers.
Mason is too timid. Were not a charity. We need a world class coaching set up. Not someone hanging around to possibly be a caretaker manager. Small time.

Shame that the narrative on social and mainstream media is more about Spurs fans turning on Ange rather than Levy.

When a team are playing badly, it may be the fault of the players or the manager or both. In my opinion it's the players to blame, and the reason for that is lack of investment.

Many have noticed our underlying stats are better than our actual points tally. Why could that be the case? Let's have a look at the players in attack shall we...

SON - Used to be world class, now old, past his prime and injury prone.
SOLANKE - He is not a good finisher and never was. He is great at pressing. Ok.
JOHNSON - Honed his ability to make good runs into the box to score. Bad all round game, can't dribble past players.
WERNER - Can't finish. Good at running.
ODOBERT - 3 goals 2 assist last season for Burnley, okay for a 19yo but nothing special.
RICHARLISON - Good at headers but not with ball at his feet.

That's not NEARLY good enough for a team challenging for top 4, forget trophies.
Some may respond to this by pointing out Ange gave the green light to 4 of these players.

But who were the alternatives he picked them over?

Is Solanke better than Toney, who is in Saudi league? Yes.
Is Solanke comparable to either Gyokeres or Oishmen? NO.
Are Odobert and Werner comparable to Eze and Neto? NO.

Turn on Levy - FFS.

No manager at our Club in recent years can really say they weren't backed.

This sh!t needs to stop.

Managers wilt under the pressure but where I would agree is that any manager who has had success at a riva as bitter as that cnut club should never grace our doors. That sits with Levy and the board. No question.

And I did say success at the CNUT club, because it makes a difference. Potter would be fine in ny opinion.

But is anyone slating Howe at present because he has less injuries and no Europe, and Newcastle sit where?

Postecoglou ain't the answer because he ain't looking like he is good enough. No one should be insulting to him but these are social media days but let's leave Levy out it for once.

That is right, but it is also probably irrelevant. The people who post here are not typical of the overall fan base which is still supportive of the manager. Postecoglou often says he doesn't have a Plan B and its likely Levy and the board don't either. Postecoglou is the ideal manager for Levy right now. He's got a large and vocal following that believes he's the best manager Spurs have had, his teams play a style of football the fans like, and he won't push hard for a bigger payroll. If Levy fired Postecoglou he would be blamed by much of the fanbase for Postecoglou's not producing a winner. Firing Postecoglou gets him nothing. Short of being relegated, which won't happen, Postecoglou is fireproof.

He’s got a large following who “believe he’s the best manager Spurs have had”?

….really?

He has a following that rate him after one and a half seasons, as being better than all the other managers we’ve had? Or did you mistype?

If we are to stick with Ange and to be honest I don’t rate him but I have said that with a few tweaks we are not far off if Ange’s changes. However if we keep him how about levy / Munn / Lange get him a number two? Like when robbo bought in TV at boro just for the season. It’s obvious the coaches offer nothing so a no2 may help. Alternatives sack him which he deserves and bring in someone like klopp for the season. He’s had enough time off. I’m sure he could come in for a few months. Then use his knowledge to get a new manager. Worth a shot?
Klopp? LOL. Yes mate, bringing in Klopp for his first proper job post-Liverpool to see an injury ravaged squad through to the end of season is a totally realistic and sensible suggestion. In Football Manager 24.

Solanke was the only good signing we've made. But I agree about the others.

But he keeps saying he has the final say and has talked about how he agrees with the direction the club are going in.

Solanke is a good signing but he's not a good finisher. So the onus is to go and buy a RW and LW who are... and we didn't.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to Ange's opinion on the club direction, transfers etc.- if I was in his position I'd say the same to increase the players' confidence as much as possible.

He says it doesn’t bother him but his actions say otherwise, if it doesn’t bother him why not just clap the away support from the centre of the pitch and that be that?

Instead he walks all the way across the pitch gesturing in an angry manner and decides to have a back and forth with a supporter, that is the very definition of something bothering him lol.

Again, so much false bravado, not sure who he is trying to convince, himself or the supporters.

You really are a bit of a cunt aren’t you??

What the fuck happened to you as a child to make you this bitter??

Young guy whose career ruined by an injury that could have killed him. Proper Spurs.

And you come up with shit??

And yes. He’s got his pro license.

Sort yourself out. Bitter people like you make me fucking sick.
Liked Mason as a player even though he wasn't ever a superstar. Had guts and passion.

Sadly he seems to be a bit too much of a ENIC stooge these days. And when he has been caretaker manager he hasn't shown himself to be anything amazing as a coach. He's obviously pro ENIC/Levy so is also part of the problem
