We are currently not. We finished last season just about there - but that was only because we had a flying 1st 2 months that caught everyone off guard.
We're bottom half in the past calendar year - we spend far more than half the teams above us.

We overspend on transfer fees to get players who can’t demand top wages,

This club was very close to being what we dream of it being within the last ten years, and it was all undone by Levy sacking Poch rather than making the required investments to renew the team.
Everything that has happened since has either been a function of that decision or of an unflinching commitment to the same way of doing things.
It’s always “my players are good enough. I’m going to hire someone who will get more out of the ones we have.” The players aren’t good enough and when you get the manager wrong too, you have the footballing equivalent of explosive diarrhea we saw today.
Levy’s solution to getting out of this pit is always to dig faster. So while I expect Ange has to be sacked, it’ll only be more of the same.

I’m in too bad a mood to get into it, but I fucking hate how he lowkey blames the players all the time. Calls out Sonny and the the other strikers for not taking chances.
