Match Tottenham v Chelsea - December 8th - 4:30pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

gawd... watching motd and seeing those pens on tv as opposed to top of the south...

bissouma man... I genuinely thought he was gong to be world class. wtf the fuck - started and finished the whole sequence of their equaliser.

And Sarr? He's going away from goal wtf are you thinking?
Yeah terrible penalties from both of them. Sarr's was even worse than Bissouma's. He's nowhere near the fucking goal. Really costly errors from both of them.

I guess Ange will get the blame from the Ange out brigade.

Half a pack of Doritos a week instead of the full bag I'd imagine

These are tough times , austerity is everywhere

I think it was bollocks, he’s just error prone. He could have been wearing any shoes and made the same fuck ups.

Do the old blame my shoes routine and get away with it.
We also still had a lot to do on both goals , was nearer the half way line for the first goal. People saying we were given /gifted two goals is taking away from our good play. WE gifted Chelsea two goals is correct though.

We were never given the credit when due. Our presses were fantastic for 10 minutes. The presses led to cunterella slipping.

But like last season, the presses didn't last and became more erratic. No on in midfield like an Eriksen or Dembele to compose the tempo. We got sucked in.

What does 2024/25 mean then?

:avbcringe:

It's not absolving Levy to point out that we're 6th. Without revenue we should be 5th pushing 4th at least.

But it's a mischaracterization to pretend we don't spend a shit load of money on players.

We overpay for players who aren't top level and we do that because we refuse to pay top level wages.

The club is run by a property investment firm and we operate like a property investment firm. The model is to look for assets that aren't top level but could be and then hopefully flip them later.

The issue is that we charge high end rent, whether the asset is high end or not and we also end up keeping hold of most of the assets that never become high end.

We spend a lot but it's fake spending.

With the caveat that Chelsea were dropping off a bit I was super impressed with Bergs. Thought he took on the toughest role at Spurs and didn't hide. Passing was expansive and ACCURATE

First time I've thought he can handle a premier league start. In fact I'd bin off the league and start him, Gray and Lankshear in the pl from now on if it means we can have a first 11 play in the cups.

Expedite their journey

Yup.

Tbh we may as well bin the league off indefinitely. Try to win cups and play academy kids or other recruiteded top talents. If we manage to stay midtable in the process then perfect. Make the tickets cheaper, make the atmosphere better and give the fans a sense of identity with academy products playing a very specific brand of football.

I can assure you that, nobody on here wants or relishes it when Spurs fail.

We all want to see Spurs succeed and win trophies.

We just feel like we are banging our heads against a brick wall when we can see the issues at the club and even after we bang on and on and on about them every single week certain people on here behave like ostriches. Or worse act like total losers who couldn't care less that this is one of the richest clubs in the land and act like we are some small fry club like Fulham or something.

Its infuriating when you can see something clear as day and others can't see it or simply refuse to see it.

Like the summer transfer window for example.

I was referring to the pundits , merson , Chartaghar etc not fans 👍

1- Couldn’t defend another 2-0 lead, this time at home
2- Recklessly set the recovery of Romero, Micky back by weeks/months
3- Forster saved us from losing by an even bigger score
4- Levy is ultimately responsible but keeping a clueless manager is pointless

I agree; individual errors, and sloppiness were a massive factor in today's defeat. This is stuff out of Ange's control.
I disagree- a lot of these are, or should be, predictable scenarios which you anticipate and drill on as a good coach. Other teams seem to be better at being able to do this right now than us. I have to believe that's a coaching issue.
