What has the managers or coaches taught VDV ? what coaching have they done with him or the other CH's ?
from what I can see we should get in Usain Bolt's coaches in to coach the CH's
Playing a high line and getting the CH's to run back fast to cover for mistakes ISN'T coaching in my book

Bit harsh - clearly coached to play out from the back and get the ball moving but I assume you mean defensively one on one / aerial defending?

NO they are told to play out from the back, Coaching would teach them when/where to look, or when not to play out
Playing out from the back was designed to draw the opponent on to the defender creating space in midfield, Defensive coaching has now countered that by how forwards press,
so now CH's need to be able to see the long ball pass before its there (think Eriksen/Kane passes) trouble is too few CH's can see that pass (Toby could) Lots kick it long but that is after they have "looked, looked & looked again" by which time their defenders have covered that space/movement

I think Destiny Udogie and Micky are going backwards. They are not being taught the fundamental well enough. rusty I've seen Pochettino and Conte walking fullbacks through the distance between fullbacks and centerbacks during phases of play. I saw a session Pochettino did with Rose about what his angle of attack should be depending on where the line outside them was and where the winger was. I guess it helped he'd played against Owen and Ronaldinho himself not the A leagues finest. Lots of people on here not seem to know the diffrence between coaching and tactics.

Hope the sub was just precautionary.

Most important defender.....

Romero / Dragusin (i.e. on his bad foot)
....is far more unstable than Dragusin / VDV

My heart was in my mouth when he went off, but then noticed that he walked off quite normally, so hopefully it was just precautionary.
He's such a big miss when he's out, but I worry that we are just going to overplay him, and assume that every hamstring injury will take longer to heal.
