1. ENIC invested millions; not billions.

2. It was no coincidence that the owner who sold the club to ENIC did so during a period when the club captain, a home grown hero of the supporters, made the decision to leave Spurs, for their bitter rivals, for a free transfer, due in part to a perceived lack of ambition and direction at the club. It was too big a wave for the previous brain surgeon to ride and he took what he was offered. He decided he had had enough of the abuse.

What list did he have to pick from?

He's renowned for motivating players. The Australian NT, Yokohama and 'Celtic's squad would run through brick walls for him. Why can't he motivate this group of players?

As for developing players, as he said in his presser, its the senior players that are the let down-should senior players need development coaching or should they already be developed? Isn't the kids that need it?

Its not all on the manager-there is squad attitude issue. He'll get the arse soon enough, but it doesn't stop when he's gone.

The same list that he had last season, minus the players he was happy to let go, added to with players he signed off on.

I’m not going to dispute for one second that he’s been adequately backed, but we are going BACKWARDS.

And senior players can still develop and learn, or at least adapt.

I see you’ve been here as long as Ange has. All makes sense.

he aint no Player developer/Match-Manager/Tactician/ Coach/Trainer

At Celtic - he has got a good assistant in J Kennedy
Also the grp leadershiphas more character - McGregor is a real Captain.

First you say it's nothing to do with Spence then two sentences later you make more excuses for Levy by saying the manager should play Spence - who has never started a premier league match for ANY manager - because he has no options :roflmao:

Better argument is to say Ange should be getting performances out of Porro or Udogie OR should have insisted Levy buy better cover in Summer.

Instead you pretend like the squad is absolutely fine (we have SPENCE!) thus setting the next manager up for failure when they too have shit options at full back.

That's how Levy does it. Gets you guys doing his dirty work every single time. 🤷‍♂️

Agreed. We are most likely never going to be realistic league title winners under Levy because he is just never going to give any manager the backing to sustain that long term.

He does however consistently give his managers the backing to at least be a consistent competitor for the 4th-6th spot in the league given that we do spend a lot on transfers and have the 6th highest salary budget in the league. The resources are available for a adaptable and crafty manager to have us as a consistent European team that could win the odd cup trophy. Last season was our first outside of Europe in how long?

Levy is a problem in the sense that he will never get us to the absolute top. But he is also incredibly hard to get rid of compared to changing the manager for someone that could work some sucess within the boundaries of our budget.

Every other league he’s been in is wank in comparison.

If he’s done it everywhere and he’s so amazing, why is it suddenly not working? You are not going to convince me that the players at Celtic, or some Japanese team are better players than we have here.

Either the players are disrespectful or incapable of being motivated or developed or this is a coach out of his depth.

The same players that he got 5th with last year, by the way. You tell me what went wrong.
 
I don't like this stuff about werner.

Yes he's playing badly but the guy is not suited to the PL and hasnt played well since his chelsea days yet ange and whoever else decided not only once but twice to get him on loan. Even fans on here knew it was not a good signing.

Ange picks him knowing what he's going to get out of him so he needs to look at himself.
