Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ange is a bombastic fool, full of bravado as many blaggers are. It seems to me some find this "attractive", different and therefore interpret it as having the ability of knowing what others don't, where in fact its just a case of not knowing!
Guy has dined out on the Greek immigrant / relationship with dad thing endlessly

But behind that there is nothing. No detail. No motivation. No coaching

He effectively relegated Leicester last time he was in the prem and had them playing really naive football

The club sold a load of their best players that he won an FA cup with.

If Gerrard doesn't slip, he's a PL winner.

Has got manager of the year awards managing in PL.

I don't think he's the answer to all our problems but he's head and shoulders above Ange and I'd have him over some of the names being touted about.

Okay with you now. And I think you’re right. I wonder if Levy might be enough to even put off those types of managers though who maybe just don’t need the hassle
For some of them certainly. But in general I don't think so.

There are only 20 jobs in the Premier League. And as much as we like to clank on ourselves and Levy we do genuinely have the budget and outlay to consistently be the 4th-6th best team in the league and should be able to sneak the random cup every now and then. The job will be appealing even if we are never going to be a consistent challenger for the very top under the current ownership.

Eventually, some manager is going to be the one to break the trophy drought. But it is far more realistic to expect it to happen through the league cup, FA cup, Europa League or Conference League.

If he’s the best we can do then we may as well pack this football lark in and become a serious F1 karting franchise instead.

Ange will leave behind a shambles, but also some good things:

- Solanke
- VdV
-Bergvall
- Gray
Either he is responsible for all transfer or no transfers.
Can't pick and chose - if he's involved in all of them then include Werner, Dragusin, Veliz, Philips, etc who have made little to no impact.

This isn't aimed you at btw. It's those who flip flop between blaming players when we lose and praising the coach when we win.

Rogers would probably be the best we could get at this stage.
100% reason Leicester went down was because they sold ALL their best players and replaced them with nothing.
Then refused to pay Rogers off despite wanting/needing him to go until eventually they had to pay him.

He over achived with a Liverpool team who were nowhere near a title beforehand and left Klopp only needing a few tweeks to get them over the line.

Has done everything Ang has done at Celtic without the pathetic fan fair. And he gets more results in Europe.

Not sure I particularly like Rogers as a person. He seems oddly dour in his interviews, but he is lightyears ahead of Ang in terms of ability as a football coach/manager. He would improve this team in no time in terms of results.

Not my top choice but it would be an upgrade and was possibly the choice we should have made last year.

First you say it's nothing to do with Spence then two sentences later you make more excuses for Levy by saying the manager should play Spence - who has never started a premier league match for ANY manager - because he has no options :roflmao:

Better argument is to say Ange should be getting performances out of Porro or Udogie OR should have insisted Levy buy better cover in Summer.

Instead you pretend like the squad is absolutely fine (we have SPENCE!) thus setting the next manager up for failure when they too have shit options at full back.

That's how Levy does it. Gets you guys doing his dirty work every single time. 🤷‍♂️
I'm so far levy out its unbelievable - I wouldn't piss on levy if he was on fire!!! do not put me with those mugs who are Levy in.
Who hired Ange ? yep that's right Levy and I didn't want Ange as manager then or now, cheap option . I know the squad isn't fine ffs...Levy leaves every MANAGER SHORT!!! but, this Oaf isn't up to it. We cannot play Ange's kamikaze system with these players - That's the trouble with Ange fanboys like you, everyone that can see Ange as a poor manager u label as Levy in. Well its not mutually exclusive, you can wont both out. Open your eyes and look at how poor we are with Ange, more tactical manager at least makes us look like a team. I also believe Levy will not get a free pass this time, Liverpool game is going to be extremely toxic.

It’s worth billions now, they aren’t walking away from that.

Sugar wasn’t getting anything out of owning us despite putting a lot of his money into it. So it made it a lot easier for him to decide to sell.
I'm not doubting it will be anything other than difficult to remove ENIC but, organised external dissent, rather than passive acceptance, may assist any potential buyer to get a better offer from the miser.

Could we not at least 'help' Daniel to reach the best conclusion for Spurs?

Agree with almost all of this mate.

He is meant to be a good egg as well, he's from an hour up the road from me and really highly thought off locally.

True. Ok, so Werner is awful, but will go back.

Drag is ok. I think he's a good back-up CB or CB as one of 5/6 CBs you'd need to play a back 3. played ok last night, and has potential to improve. First season in Prem.

Veliz looks to be not good enough yes. Also Phillips. Tbf some you win, some you lose.

Odobert an unknown as yet.

We are 4-5 elite players short of where we should be as a club - which is what limits us to 3rd-8th place (with a good manager), I still think the acquisitions over the past 15 months have yielded some good players / genuine prospects, and you'd retain the ones I listed as part of a squad with a new manager.
