FtPersonally, I think Ange was a panic hire by the club—a calculated gamble by Levy, who cleverly leaned into the whole ‘Angeball’ and ‘We’ve got our Spurs back’ narrative to buy himself some goodwill after the Nuno debacle and those first ten games really helped to sell this further. Combine that with Ange’s knack for talking a good game, and suddenly you’ve got this protective bubble around him, shielding him from criticism longer than most managers would get in his position.

But as many have pointed out, no matter how much supposed charm he brings or how romanticised his playing style is, football ultimately boils down to results. If the current trajectory continues, I just can’t see him surviving until the end of the season. Sentiment can only carry you so far—eventually, reality catches up.

Ange needs to realise that 100 mph football does not have to be from beginning to end. It’s one reason why we are having so many hamstring injuries. Another factor is high line, players like VDV having to race backwards all the time is not helping. When 2-0 up with 15 minutes to go, yes try for another goal but also make sure we don’t leave our defence open. Inverted fullbacks makes our centrebacks having to cover thereby leaving our central defence weaker and without a really top,top number 6 that adds to it.

He’s made plenty of half time tweaks that changed games in our favour. We conceded first in most of our games.

There was a game vs Everton I think but could have been someone else, Maddison playing well but we were struggling with them tactically in MF, he subbed Maddison and we tore them to pieces.

The problem we have is physical not tactical imo. We struggle when we can’t impose the game we want physically

You said you would respond to this eventually. You're posting lots but can you spend some of that time doing the vital research needed so you can provide evidence for this outrageous claim.

Yeah I'll dig them out when I ca n be fucked. Shadydan Shadydan gave you a few examples as well.

I can't remember which game it was that he subbed Maddsion at HT when he was playing well but it changed the game.

Amorim said that pre newcastle when interviewed by Neville I think.

Yep and this is exactly the same strategy most managers choose to take including Ange so I don't know what your point is...

Your other points are hilarious though. Against City last season i 100% concede he tried a lot of things different (I wonder why) but the rest just lol.

You actually think we intentionally played a low block counter attacking game against Wolves? For one it wasn't even low block, I was at the game and we played the exact same high line we always do. When not in possession our backline continuously ran close to the middle and continuously tried to win sprint races like they always do. What exactly are you talking about? you're saying ange intentionally instructed us to play on the counter against Wolves at home???

The rest just lol well okay this is where you're meant to rebuttal the argument or are you just gonna concede the point and laugh it off because you're wrong? Ill go with the latter...

Yes go and watch the match again, we sat in and chose to hit them on the counter, we pressed when they were in their first phase and dropped back in a mid to low block when they moved the ball up the pitch.

BTW just so I get an understanding of your football knowledge... literally every team sits in a low block depending what phase their in and where the opposition have the ball, the fact that you think that we cannot sit in a low block and yet press teams high up the pitch in different phases is once again typical of someone who only sees football through a basic spectrum, good thing you were at the match to catch that though I suppose...

hahaahahahhahahahhahahahahahah

Any doubts that this geezer is a troll should now be extinct after this. Man said "He’s made plenty of half time tweaks that changed games in our favour"

then proceeded to ignore any of the requests to back the claim up before using examples posted by another poster loooool.

Earth calling Richard Arlison Richard Arlison
The examples used by Shadydan Shadydan were not even examples of games where "he's made plenty of HALF TIME tweaks that changed games in our favour". Deary me what an epic fail.

At least have the decency to say "fair play I'm talking out my backside" and keep it moving ffs.

West Ham at home but it doesn't count because we're all gonna ignore it as it doesn't fit our confirmation bias blah blah

Another example please sir!

I didn't say that. Of course I want to win something.

The original poster stated he wanted a more balanced manager. You might have some previous cyber beef with him but if you take that post in isolation he didn't say anything wrong and he's entitled to want that. I mean the majority minus a couple of loons want that.

I stand by my post but my beef is definitely with him not you so I will leave it there.

You’re not being unreasonable. 👍🏾

His system just seems to be based on, we will out attack you.
But it only works a few times, we are so easily out thought and beaten, can't believe they are going to give him more time.
Just get someone in who, can provide a more balanced approach, solid at the back and decent in attack.

It’s going to be an interesting watch v Tamworth.

If you were there manager you’d just play deep and hit as many long balls into the open spaces left by our full backs as possible. Just try and stay in the game. Keep it super tight at the back.
If you have a couple of half decent people in wide positions you have a chance of causing some issues.

They will be hoping and praying we put in a few youngsters too.
