You'll never sing that
These people aren't well

There appears to be a belief that results will all of a sudden turn from losses into wins once two centre halfs and a goalkeeper returns to the fold.

We pretty much had a starting midfield and forward line on the pitch at some stage today.

I didn't see a likely draw coming along, let alone a win.

Before the injuries, our form was really not that much better.

Yeah exactly. Our backline actually did reasonably well, albeit under very little pressure second half.

Our midfield and attacking players were completely unable to break Newcastle down. Created very little of any note.

I don’t think Newcastle played well at all. I don’t think they had to.

lol Southampton sacked their manager after we pumped them and since aren’t so open.

The City, Villa and West Ham games were great. Of course they were. But everyone is beating City and West Ham, we do tend to beat teams that are silly enough to take us on. You champion three standout victories and I’ll look at the ten defeats, multiple draws and one dimensional tactics.
I was replying to you saying the last 15 months have been dog shit, when clearly they haven’t

It’s hand ball. Fucking nonsense around it. That goal is never given against another top 6 team (not that we are a top 6 team anymore of course).
Has to called by the ref - VAR can't intervene.

Same ref correctly called a handball on Solanke to stop our attack 10 minutes later.

Same ref decided that Dan Burn starfishing to stop Kulu putting Werner in isn't deliberate handball.

Maddeley is a HERO for not applying the rules and thus allowing the happy clappers a Spurs win

Newcastle didn't have to play well, they just faced a poor team and structure, they could of had more if they wanted.

You don't have to play well to beat Spurs. Nearly all managers have employed some very basic counters to Ange ball and had success.

We definitely put up a good fight in the second half. But it felt like it was way more just on effort than any sort of tactical shift or game management.

I still believe that we need a tactical/managerial change to avoid getting sucked into the relegation scrap. And I am unsure if Ange can provide that.
Ange appears to think that losing half our games will lead to success at some point.

Ange didn't state whether this success would be in the Premier League or Championship.

Can someone now explain to me what was the logic of keeping Johnson and taking off Bergvall? You could see on the right side Porro/Kulu/Johnson ALL stuck on the right side and all seemed not knowing what they are supposed to do or what the other 2 were there for?

If you are going to tel Kulu to go on the right, shouldn't keeping Bergvall on instead of Johnson given you more control in the middle? Especially the way he was performing.

UNBELIEVABLE
Was watching this for half an hour - three players over there clogging up the space and Johnson not doing anything but get in the way - drove me nuts.
That the manager can’t see things like this is beyond me tbh.

Pepe Mel when he was at Betis said something about Mourinho's Madrid, that "if you let them have the ball, they beat themselves".

Similair thing with us for a long time now it feels like. When a team that isn't Liverpool wants to get into a game of who punches harder, we might have a good chance. A team that wants to keep us at arms length seems to be able do that pretty successfully.
