No one can convince me that those ref - whether on the field or in the VAR - are always object in their decisions. Most have "hidden agendas"

Its great to see the law so vigorously and honorably upheld against us, but our opposition are able to nibble away scot free in the lawless bubble of protection the refs give them.
Burn stopped the counter attack with his arms, deliberately... deliberate handball is a yellow card offense.
Joelinton deliberately late fouled Porro with his knee to the back of his leg, then elbowed Bergvall in the head, and received ZERO yellow cards for those ffs. Where is this law being upheld then, why are they so hell bent on only upholding it against us? Kulu got a yellow for his elbow to the chav cunt. Joelinton has diplomatic immunity?

Sorry, this is nonsense unless you want our players to just hoof it constantly when they have the ball, what happened yesterday is a technically proficient player who would normally make that pass into midfield wasn't allowed to because an opposition player handled the ball outside the box, now whether you think it should be handball or not according to the laws is besides the point...the point is that you can't put that incident down to the way the manager plays when that could have happened to anyone, not just us.

The funny thing is we didn't overdo it yesterday, our keeper was constantly going long when he had the ball, that was obvious by design because Austin isn't good with the ball at his feet. If our manager was as stubborn as you say he would have got Austin to keep going short, that didn't happen the vast majority of the time

It never ceases to amaze me how selective people can be with this playing out from the back crap especially when we are successful from doing it, have a look how our first goal was scored, short ball into Porro on the half turn from the keeper, played to Bergvall who drove onto midfield back to Porro who made the cross for the goal - I didn't see anyone complaining about it then

Just pure over analysis, boring.

You’re right, we did mix it it up with long goal kicks yesterday which was sensible. But when we JUST scored that was the moment we should have slowed the game down and played the percentages and we didn’t do it. Why the rush to play out when we’ve just gone in front?

There were multiple times in that first half when we were in such a hurry to take a goal kick that Austin nearly took them when Newcastle still had a couple of players in our penalty area. The team plays frazzled football and doesn’t know how to manage moments in games.

Oh give it a rest you great big misery.

If you actually went to a football match live you'd notice the fans in the stadium actually support their side whatever the conditions/circumstances, yesterday the atmosphere in the stadium wasn't of great doom and misery like you constantly want to make out.

Thank god fans like you don't ever put the effort in to go to match because to be quite frank your 'support' of this club is pretty embarrassing in itself.

Always excuses for other teams but can never make the same excuses for Tottenham.

You moaned last season when we finished 5th, so being down in 12th is what sad fans like you deserve.

Fuck off.

You are embarrassing. A happy clapping seal, that’s all. Probably one of the people who chanted the frauds name while we were conceding six at home.

He’s not lasting much longer and thank god for that. If it was up to you and the cultists he’d be here for life and we’d end up perpetually stuck in the bottom half.

12th is what YOU deserve (you won’t even get that, we are headed for 15th) because you have no expectation and put zero pressure on the club to achieve anything. A perfect empty headed fan, a company man. Buy the food, watch another loss. Chant the losing coaches name, feel good about yourself. Rinse & repeat.

Some of our fans truly are pathetic & act like we are a Fulham level club. I despise some of you worse than Ange.

This is the problem I have with the analysis because it's just myopic - we literally scored from playing out - that's the very definition of the tactic working, we tried a similar move for their equaliser and it didn't come off because of a handball which would have been given 9 times out of 10.

Bearing in mind going long meant the ball was coming back anyway, we had a 30% success rate when we tried to go long, do you know what's also funny...one of their best chances came from Austin going long to Solanke, he lost the ball and then Joelinton passed to Gordon and the keeper saved it, it won't make the headlines though because it didn't result kna goal...that's fine margins

More to the point analysing this when he has a load of absentees and illnesses...what are you trying to achieve here? Of course there is going to be mistakes especially in a patched up back line, we have an 18 year old CM playing as a CB for God's sake and a keeper making his Prem debut, it's not going to be perfect.

Nah, I'm just calling you out for what you are, a poster puts a perfectly reasonable post and you just reply 'embarrassing'. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

You contribute literally nothing to this football club, you admitted you don't go to any games under ENIC's ownership and they've been in charge of how many years? You're one of the biggest critics of the way the club is run, lack of money spent etc even though the money that goes into the club goes into team etc.

I'm happy supporting the club the way I do.

You'll never be happy, if we sacked Ange tomorrow I guarantee you would be on here moaning about the next manager.

His post wasn’t reasonable. It was the same regurgitated bullshit we’ve been hearing for months while hurtling down the league table.

Yeah ENIC are a fucking disease at this football club so why would I financially support that? People criticise ENIC out fans for not doing enough and then criticise them for not paying in to the club? Lmao.

Good for you. So am I, it includes telling hard truths and it doesn’t include feeling the need to be performative about what a top yid I am on a football forum … COYS.

If we hire someone who I think is suited to the job I’ll be fully behind them. I was fully backing Pochettino. If we hire another Ange then no, I won’t be fully behind him because I am not a fucking idiot.

Ah, the joy of 20:20 hindsight

I never knew that playing out from the back came under the heading of "attacking recklessly"

Every day is a schoolday
Different when C/Bs are edge of box or thereabouts and oppo are within a metre or two ready to press .
When your Midfield receiving ball are either side on or back to player then oppo always got chance of nicking it if got any nous.
Thats when you need one of or both full backs when tight in middle to offer the option
IE.you go wide and if oppo shuttle over, you then have opened up options of forward pass, back to C/B or keeper or even a dink over the top amongst others.

No C/B whoever it is wants to thread balls through a needle or play around with it on edge of their own box .
Its about keeping a clean sheet ist and foremost, winning every battle and giving it to players in team asap who make things happen,
Also the old “One Two” which i personally love but dont think is fashionable anymore somehow….
Fullbacks are there to open the park up when going on attack at right time not to be defacto midfielders…

Leaving aside the debate over the handball, the first goal we conceded yesterday is a good example of the reckless way Ange demands that we play.

We’ve just gone in front against a superior team and have a young, patched up side out. We know we struggle to defend a lead or keep a clean sheet. Yet in the next play, the keeper rolls the ball to Gray inside the box when there are 5 Newcastle players ready to press. Gray plays a pass to Sarr who has two players rushing at him. He sees the danger but overhits his pass to Bergvall and we lose possession in an incredibly dangerous area and concede.

That’s the thing that’s going to get Ange the sack. There is no appreciation of the game state, no recognition of our position in the table and our relegation form, no respect for the opponent. There is no communication with the team when he’s on the sideline. There was no need to play at a hundred miles an hour like that especially after we took the early lead against a much better team. Ange fundamentally does not believe in the idea of protecting the lead, taking the sting out of the game, slowing the game down. It’s all out attack, all the time. We saw the same silly shit against Chelsea when we were 2-0 up.

Meanwhile when Newcastle came out for the second half, they focused on protecting their lead and they won the game without their keeper having to make a meaningful save. Ange is never going to get anywhere at this level with his childish insistence that the only way to win a game is to attack recklessly for 90 minutes.
Liverpool at home was a good example of this too. We pulled one back against the run of play when one of their players made a mistake; a nice finish by Maddison, and it's 1-2 just before HT. So slow the game down, take the sting out of it, keep the ball for a minute or so before the whistle. Instead we tried something reckless and all of a sudden there's a break and we're 3-1 down just before HT, it's lunacy.

At this level against quality opponents it's vital you manage these moments more effectively than we've been doing.

It’s very obviously not done objectively

And I look at Newcastle’s behaviour first half and I refuse to believe they would be that reckless if they didn’t know in advance they were getting away with it.

Yep, must’ve had a super secret meeting with the FA beforehand where the football illuminati told them they could foul at will.

Do you really believe this shit? The referee let things go that referees let go all the time in big games because they don’t want to ruin them with reds. It’s not unique to us.

Was it bad refereeing? Yes. Was it some conspiracy? Obviously not. FFS.

Ange is a very angry man, he must be under pressure from the above to get results. I hate blaming referees full stop, the match is 90mins, we scored one they scored two we lost end off.

I think we need a manager with a game plan and strategies. The players are told one thing, keep attacking go forward no matter what, which will never work with current squad or in the PL.

PS. Did Ange complain last season about the ref when we beat liverpool?!
As Arry used to say, decisions evens up throughout a season which I agree.

There must be some blame about the passing leading to the equaliser. But move on.

We have a coach who spent last season on a “we’ll just cop it!” posture

It made many of us on this board furious. As we knew what was coming

Ange hasn’t a clue. Really

A huge stretch but we can only hope it is because we are being sold and the new owners want to put their man in as manager when they come in. Massively unlikely but it is the only bit of hope I have. But as usual with THFC, I suspect they will crush that little bit of hope too!
A huge stretch?! Pal, we've lost 10 games already. Still 18 games to be played, we'll drop another 5 at the minimum, probably 7 or 8. You lose that many, you're definitely a relegation candidate...Everton (15th) lost 16 last season, Brentford (16th) lost 19, and Forest (17th) had 20 defeats.

That's Ange's true level to be honest. Most of that squad belongs down there too.
