If you concede possession, teams don’t have a choice mate, if we drop deeper they will have more of the ball.
We are setup as a possession based team that needs overlapping runners and yet nobody overlaps?
So what ends up happening is sideward/backwards passing aka AVB football, which we have seen against so many teams this season, hence we struggle against sides in the lower half and get picked off so easily.
The style we witnessed against Pool suits this side a lot more and gives us more opportunities to exploit the opposition, obviously it’s case by case but Ange really needs to stop trying to put square pegs into round holes.
